Helicopters, boats, and snowmobiles are means of transportation that are used. The high mountains, glaciers, cold caves and rivers demand the utmost from the participants. Not only physical strength is important, psychology and strategy also play an important role. In addition to individual tests, often related to the local customs and culture of Lapland, there are also group assignments. Both the individual performance and the team play determine the position of the candidates in the ranking every week. That ranking can change considerably in each episode. In the end, only two candidates reach the end point after a gruelling journey of twenty days, one of them wins the Arctic Circle Expedition.
