Anya and Natasha, participants of the "Precinct Officers of Russia" program, come to the small town of Lisyegorsk. Both work at station No. 13: Anya is a therapist at the polyclinic, Natasha is a district police officer.

The series revolves around the main character, Sergei Krymov (the owner of a travel agency), and his common-law wife, Svetlana, who is suddenly visited by her mother, Antonina Mikhailovna, from the village. But the resourceful mother-in-law will always find a solution, even if the situation initially seems hopeless.

In the small, quiet town of Lyubimov, strange murders of young women occur one after another, forcing the investigator for particularly important cases, Kira Karelina, to suspect the actions of a maniac. But Konstantin Kholmogorov, a Moscow psychotherapist who knows the method of regressive hypnosis, who came to his small homeland and accidentally became involved in the investigation, puts forward his own version of what is happening. Which of them will be right in their assumptions and will they be able to find a sophisticated killer?
