Romeo suffers greatly from the sudden death of his friend Alfredo. He sinks into a deep sadness and distances himself more and more from reality. The Black Brothers try to cheer Romeo up again. But even when Dante tries to force him come to his senses, Romeo remains withdrawn.

The boat in which Romeo and the others are travelling to Milan is hit by a storm and sinks. Miraculously, Alfredo and Romeo manage to save themselves. Luini is also saved from drowning by Romeo. On the shore, Alfredo tells Romeo about his tragic past and how he was separated from his sister Bianca. The next morning, they leave for Milan.

In Milan, Romeo and Alfredo are sold as chimney sweeps to different bosses, having to separate, but not before swearing eternal friendship. Romeo is taken by Rossi, his buyer, to his house, where he will start a new life.

Romeo watches from the rooftop of a house that one of the Wolf Pack members is ambushed by another gang of boys, but then the rest of the pack appears and a fight breaks out, wich is won by the Pack boys. Anselmo, who was not present during the fight, is seen by Romeo while he devises a plan to gain recognition from the rest of the pack members.

Romeo finds Anselmo lying on the street and covered in bruises. Anselmo tells Romeo that he confronted Tachioni because he hates outsiders and wants to kick Romeo out of town. Romeo, full of rage, runs in search of Tachioni.

The carriage Romeo has sneaked into contains explosives that the robbers intend to use to blow up the police station and free their imprisoned friend.

Angeletta's condition is deteriorating rapidly. The so-called Ice Queen Montovani wants nothing to do with her granddaughter. Even asking chimney sweep Rossi is useless. The Black Brothers therefore clog the chimneys of Montovani Castle. They want to force the Countess to stay in touch with Angeletta.

Running late for work, Natsumi Tsujimoto makes the attempt to avoid being busted by her soon-to-be partner. A short time later, she's stopped dead in her tracks, trying to avoid hitting a small kitten with her motorized bike. Thinking her decision through, she tells her assigned partner, Miyuki Kobayakawa, that she doesn't think the partnership is going to work because they're two different people. Before she comes to a decision over this a strange, wreckless driver causes some havok with these two new officers as the \"Fox\" gives them a little more than they bargained for. After defusing the situation, Natsumi agrees to give their partnership a chance. All of this, on Officer Tsujimoto's first day of work.

Jackie blew away the moon, guarding against Goku ever becoming an Oozaru again!! At the same time, Goku returns to his normal form, and the match is restarted. With their energy rapidly falling from exhaustion and hunger, the two muster the last of their power, and their clash unfolds. Having received slightly less damage, Jackie declares that he has won the championship, and he achieves victory. Having learned that there are many strong people in the world, Goku and Kuririn vow to train even harder!

A mysterious wanderer known as Kenshin is taken at the Kamiya Kasshin Dojo, a martial arts school run by a young woman named Kaoru.

Following an encounter with a young pickpocket named Yahiko, Kaoru risks her own freedom to gain his from some local gangsters.

After reining in some renegade police officers, Kenshin is recognized as the Samurai whose bravery helped establish the Meiji Era and is asked to rejoin the army.

Most of the Straw Hats are helplessly trapped as Vivi tries desperately to get the key to their cage. but fails. Crocodile is contacted by someone known as "Mr. Prince."

Luffy fights with Crocodile by using blood on his fists. Meanwhile Vivi finds the bomb, and calls the Straw Hats together.

Unable to master even basic transformation magic, Akko is relegated to her room and must miss the welcome party for a VIP and his handsome son.

Luffy convinces Zoro to join his crew, but they must first defeat Captain Morgan. After freeing the island from Morgan's oppressive rule, Coby is accepted as a marine while the other two continue on their journey.

Drawing closer to Goku and the others as they play in the floating amusement park, Husky tries to seduce Yamcha, who was carrying a Dragon Ball. Figuring out his opponent’s true identity, Yamcha corners her but is taken out by Bulma, who mistakes this for a love scene!! Husky leaves a bomb and runs away. Goku breaks the bomb’s controls just in the nick of time, and retakes the Dragon Balls. But it’s a completely angry Bulma who sets out with Goku to search for the Dragon Balls.

The fire started by Luini devastates the only cornfield that Romeo's family has left. Romeo's family rush to the field to try to save the domestic animals, but Roberto injures his head while leaping out of the flames. After this tragic incident, Roberto's injury worsens and a rumor about Roberto intending to sell Romeo to the god of death spreads in the village. Then, after an argument with his father, Romeo runs away from home and hides in Anita's barn, where he hears that Roberto is not his real father. Meanwhile, Luini approaches Roberto and pressures him to sell his son.

After being treated by doctor Baresi, Roberto will recover and will not go blind. Romeo has sacrificed himself for the sake of his family and must now leave the village. On his way to Milan, Luini tells Romeo to go to the town of Locarno and wait for him there. Along the way, Romeo is mistaken for an apple thief, but is saved by Alfredo, a boy who is also heading to Milan to become a chimney sweep as Romeo. In Locarno, Alfredo's bag falls into a river after being stolen, so Romeo throws himself into the river to recover it.

Luini locks up the boys before crossing the lake by boat to get to Milan. Among them is Dante, the boy who had stolen Alfredo's bag, who tells them that his brother also went to work in Milan, but ended up dying of starvation. The night before leaving, Dante devises a plan to escape.
