The man turns out to be Lambert's former sergeant, so Lambert heads out into the wilderness, and has to find the boy before the weather turns very bad. But how do you find a deaf person?

The whole world is baffled when a little boy breaks the world short distance record. Lambert suspects that the boy comes from the future, but he is stopped by the boy's father, a criminal, who has Lambert's speed and strength.
