Sawako stayed up late making chocolate for her friends...and for Kazehaya. When she sees him receiving chocolates from others as obligatory "thank-you" gifts, she is worried hers would be seen the same way. Kurumi taunts her, and Sawako hesitates.

After getting separated from Misaki, in the middle of Tokyo, Tatsuhiro runs into Hitomi ands ends up spending New Year’s Eve with her. They just end up separating after saying their farewells, when Tatsuhiro later meets up with a melancholic Misaki. The next day Misaki continues to spiral in despair as Tatsuhiro remains unaware, until their next counselling session.

After 4 years and 4 months, Tatsuhiro has run into his old senpai from High School, Hitomi who now has become a civil servant. His reunion with Hitomi may have sparked something inside him, because now he feels the need to stop running away and to face his problems as a hikikomori. Now the counseling can begin.

The date continues at the shrine. Sawako and Kazehaya begin to tell one another about their past, about themselves, and about many other things. After their first year of knowing one another, Sawako is certain what she feels is love.

A violent gunfight erupts at the playhouse. Black smoke arises from explosions on the Island. The Vanetti family is on the brink of destruction, and Avilio has accomplished his revenge. Where does he go from here? And what will Nero do, having lost everything at Avilio's hands?
