Kazane, Tsukishita, Yoshita, and Non are all fighting for Setouchi. The four are all trying their best to combat the Suruga team, but things are looking grim. Will Non and the others figure out a way to overcome their opponents?

The time has come for the school's physical examinations, so the club must find a way to protect Haruhi's Big Secret. Their attempts fail miserably until Kyoya steps in, with a doctor who promises not to reveal her secret. Meanwhile, someone accused of attempting to "make a pass" on one of the female students, Dr Yabu (literally, Quack Doctor) is actually searching for his daughter after she and her mother left him due to financial problems. Kyoya points out that, if the man's family is really that poor, the girl would be attending Ouran Public High, rather than the prestigious and very expensive Ouran Academy. Tamaki gives him directions, explaining that, even though he might get hurt later, it's up to him to find the truth.

The Host Club visits the "real beach" in Okinawa upon Haruhi's request, but, Kyoya having invited customers, Haruhi is still unable to wear a swimsuit - much to the others disappointment. The twins devise a game to see who can find out what Haruhi is afraid of first, drawing Tamaki in with the explanation that only close friends show each other their weaknesses. Kyoya hypes up the competition by offering up photos of Haruhi in middle school. One accident occurred that caused a fight between the Host Club members. Kyouya, however, made Haruhi realize what her mistakes were and she eventually apologized for her wrongdoings. Tamaki wins secretly in the end, during a thunderstorm. However, the rest of the host club walks in at the most inopportune moment, as he covers her ears and places a blindfold on her to "block the thunder." The group ends up leaving with Tamaki chasing after them, trying in vain to convince them that he's not a pervert.

Issei is back with Rias and Asia living in his house, and Kiba starts acting weird when he sees a picture of a holy sword at Issei's house.

Issei is determined to get stronger. He spends some more time with Asia, but once again, their circumstances keep them apart. Issei finds out that although pawns may not be very strong, they have a power that allows them to act like other chess pieces.

Nina and the others officially sign with a talent agency. The five of them start writing their new song when Diamond Dust challenges them to a battle of the bands. Diamond Dust has doubled their follower count from before. Should they accept the challenge or not? The members find themselves split on this decision.

The time for the start of the Rating Game arrives, and the contestants are transported to a battlefield in an alternate dimension. While Asia and Rias remain at their base, Issei and Koneko face the opposition, and Issei reveals his new signature move.

Nina is currently learning the guitar and asks Tomo for her assessment, and Tomo gives her harsh feedback. However, when Tomo sees that Nina isn't giving up, it gives her the confidence to change.

Irina and Lev spend some time together before they're pulled apart. As the launch date quickly closes in, the decision is made as to who will pilot the first human spaceflight.

A hard-nosed prohibition agent, Delphy, is installed in Lawless. He claims he will cut out the mafia's power in the city, and begins clamping down on bars that sell bootleg liquor. Naturally, the Vanetti family considers him an unwelcome presence. While keeping one eye on Fango, Nero comes down hard against Defphy, and Avilio stands with him. But another man watches them with complicated feelings about the situation.

Naruto and his squad arrive in the Land of the Waves and learn that an evil businessman named Gato has taken over the land.

Chie dispatches Nozomu to investigate rumors that the invariably injured Abiru Kobushi is suffering from domestic violence. He pursues Abiru's father while he shops, causing him a great deal of inconvenience, before discovering Abiru's obsession with pulling the tails of dangerous animals. The latter half of the episode concerns Meru Otonashi, who is silent and shy in person, but remarkably abusive via text-messaging, her only means of communication.

The first part of this episode introduces Ai Kaga, a girl who always takes blame for everything, even though it is not her fault. Nozomu takes the class to a "guilt scramble" to explain that history has led to the "guilt complex" such as Kaga's becoming the Japanese mentality. After being overcome with guilt himself, Nozomu and Kaga travel the world to try to stop burdening others. The second part introduces another girl, Mayo Mitama. Her evil-looking eyes have led to her being misunderstood - that is, she actually is evil, but people try not to prejudge her and assume she is actually good. She commits several cruel acts that Nozomu bears witness to and is blamed for, being the only other nearby party. He becomes so concerned with not prejudging that he doesn't blame her when she hits Majiru over the head with an aluminum bat or when she drops a brick onto Nozomu's head.

Seishou Academy is on their annual retreat. A private beach, fun in the sun, and designated shooting areas makes it an enjoyable time. That was until three students were shot in vital parts and war was declared.
