Ibuki, Ayame, Chihaya, Kagome, Yoichi, Angela, Tsubasa and Ibuki's four students meet up at an empty beach after winning a lottery ticket. Yoichi arrives on the beach wearing a loincloth. Ibuki persuades him to wear swimming trunks. Two siblings, students of Saginomiya's Steering Techniques are assigned to defeat Yoichi. One of the brothers release a trained bird to attack the gang, which causes Yoichi to embarass everyone. Everyone goes into the water to play with the exception of Kagome. When Ibuki questions her, Kagome runs into the forest. Masashi-kun follows Kagome in pursuit. Kagome falls down a cave and breaks her fall by landing on top of Masashi-kun, who earns himself a bruise. Kagome tells Masashi to close his eyes and she dresses his injury with cloth. After a while, the rest of the gang searches for Kagome and Masashi-kun. Meanwhile, Masashi-kun and Kagome rushes out an exit to the cave only to find out that it leads to a ledge on a cliffface. Masashi-kun falls and manages to grab on to a tree branch but soon relinquishes his grip. The gang catches up to Kagome and Yoichi dives into the water to save Masashi. At that moment, the two brothers greet the gang on surfboards, and they challenge Yoichi to fight. Angela throws Yoichi a bokken, which lands away from Yoichi, and Chihaya throws Yoichi a life ring. Kagome dives in the water to save Mashashi-kun and throw the bokken to land in Yoichi's hand. Yoichi defeats the brothers with his swordplay. It is revealed that Kagome's refusal to participate in water activities is due to her embarrassment about her budding breasts. She continues to bind them with cloth.

Due to the Saginomiya siblings' medicine, Ibuki's mind has reverted to one of a 4-year-old's. Yoichi and the Ikaruga sisters have a hard time dealing with Ibuki's sudden change. Her refususal to acknowlege Kagome's existance and her clumsyness makes her a burden to those around her. A far cry from the authoritative person she once was. Ukyou and Sakon arrive at the dojo with the proposal and trial of the Ikarugas to live like a "first-class celebrity" for Ibuki. Meanwhile, Washizu and Torigaya finds Ibuki lying face-down in front of her dojo. Washizu buys Ibuki new clothes and play with her at a park. Ukyou forces Yoichi to learn swordcraft with Angela. At the same time, Ibuki is kidnapped and Washizu is stunned by the Saginomiya. By the end of the day, the novelty of the celebrity lifestyle has worn out. Chihaya and Ayame discover that Kagome is missing. A short search around the house leads to Kagome's room. They find Kagome in her room, crying while hugging a broken doll. This gives Yoichi, Ayame and Chihaya initiative to find Ibuki. Yoichi tells Angela to wait for him. Yoichi, Ayame, Kagome and Chihaya leave the dojo in search of Ibuki. Meanwhile, Tsubasa finds Washizu and carries him to a hospital.

Takayuki is dragged away from his tropical summer vacation against his will to join Oga and Beelzebub to a public pool, though Oga is soon shocked by the fact he could've gone to the tropical resort himself. Whilst chatting with the Red Tails, Takayuki is approached by some delinquents from his old middle school and ends up going against their leader, Takashima, when they start hitting on the girls. Takayuki tries to hide in the pool, but Takashima calls more of his men and tricks the lifeguard into evacuating the pool, leaving Takayuki and a stunned Oga. As Takayuki becomes surrounded, he forces Beelzebub to cry in order to shock all the delinquents before facing Oga's wrath.

Furuichi and Oga survey the school from the roof searching for emblems on people's shirts, and Azusa ends up tagging along in their search. Two students from St. Ishiyama are seen hassling two of Aoi's gang, causing Shiroyama to interject, telling them to leave. The two disgruntled students are offered a free punch by Shiroyama as compensation for breaking off their advance on the girls. They roll a large weight onto Shiroyama, hospitalizing him. Kanzaki bursts into the classroom the two boys are in later that day to get vengeance, only to be knocked out by Miki in one blow. Miki the invites the students of Ishiyama High to meet him on the roof after school. Himekawa, Natsume, Furuichi, Oga and Aoi all go to the roof after school, though Furuichi stays in hiding.

Lamia asks Fruichi to find Baby Beel's brother but when they went to the game center, they find Kanzaki,Himekawa, and Yuko. Furuichi asks them for help. Meanwhile Aoi and Oga went for training to be strong.

Aogiri commences their invasion of Cochlea and free a majority of the imprisoned ghouls while Amon and Akira visit the prison to learn more about Aogiri's plan from Donato Porpora. Amid the battles between the CCG, Cochlea security and ghouls, Kaneki meets a ghoul named Orca with orders to break him free, but is attacked by him instead.

A hard-nosed prohibition agent, Delphy, is installed in Lawless. He claims he will cut out the mafia's power in the city, and begins clamping down on bars that sell bootleg liquor. Naturally, the Vanetti family considers him an unwelcome presence. While keeping one eye on Fango, Nero comes down hard against Defphy, and Avilio stands with him. But another man watches them with complicated feelings about the situation.

During Kaneki's visit with Yoshimura, he asks for information about the Owl, and is told the tragic tale of a young ghoul named Kuzen. Touka makes plans to move out of Anteiku. A snowy day brings with it brisk business at the coffee shop.

Arthur finally decides to go find the Divine Gate. He asks the members of the Knights of Rounds as well as the select few from the Academy to join him on this expedition. However, Loki and Oz set out on their own mission as well in response.
