When they get back to Ryokushou, they find a wagashi cake and birthday party for Itsuka waiting for them. Itsuka always seems to be chasing after the shadow of her father. Concerned, Nagomu comforts her. And in reply to Nagomu's words, Itsuka...

In front of Kyoto Station, Yukihira Itsuka mistakes Irino Nagomu for her missing father. She never imagined that he was the son and heir(?) to a wagashi shop called Ryokushou—the same shop where she's been staying. When Nagomu and Itsuka begin working together at Ryokushou, they run into a little trouble.

Dariel's first quests as an adventurer go smoothly, but the village's other adventurer, Gashita, continues to see him as the enemy. Word that a high level monster has appeared near the village arrives. Dariel heads into the forest to bring Gashita back.

Bashbarza is in a rage after being reprimanded by the Demon King for losing the mythril mine. Meanwhile, in Lux Village, the mood is a celebratory one. Dariel runs into an old coworker and sees an opportunity to prevent conflict between humans and demons.

Everyone at Ryokushou is participating in the Miyama school district's sports festival. Itsuka feels shy and awkward around Nagomu, causing her to adopt a brusque manner toward him. But in his loud cheers of encouragement she feels the warmth of family. Nagomu's father, Heigo, gets overly fired up and ends up hurting himself. Nagomu and Itsuka have to step up to take his and Nagomu's place in the parent-child event. Meanwhile, at Ryokushou, a woman calling herself Itsuka's mother appears.

Dariel and the others rush to the Mythril Mine on a rescue mission, but the Magical Fire Beast, Salamandra appears in their path. Dariel presses ahead with their rescue efforts, but Bashbarza, who has obtained tremendous power, has other ideas.

Sunraku joins his teammates at the GGC where he learns more about the favor Katzo needs.

The Hero, Laidy, has two objectives: to have new mythril weapons made, and to find a new ally to help defeat the Demon King. Laidy becomes aware of Dariel's true abilities and asks him to join her party. Dariel declines, but Laidy refuses to accept it.
