In 2022, 92% of social workers came into contact with aggression or violence. Frans Bromet portrays six aid workers who were confronted with violence while carrying out their work. The violence that the aid workers are confronted with leaves not only physical, but also psychological traces.

What are we doing?

Artist and filmmaker Bart Eysink Smeets (1988) is completely fed up with our obsession with being unique. To free the world from this, he wants to prove that he, and therefore no one, is unique. Among the eight billion people on earth, he goes in search of his doppelgänger. With the help of posters, mobile billboards and online advertisements, he tracks down countless Bart lookalikes. Using facial recognition software, he comes across the photo of a possible doppelgänger in America. Will he be able to find this still nameless 'Bart'? And does the search yield what he hopes for?

Bart and the search for the doppelgänger

19-year-old Gijs and his parents try to accommodate the unexpected suicide of his older brother Arie. After the funeral, Gijs and his parents discover more and more about his brother's mental state. Arie always seemed cheerful and optimistic, but turned out to be struggling with intense depression.
