KEUNG blamed TIM for saving YAN out of the prison, which had caused her death. YIN decided to keep BILL's autopsy report a secret. They all felt very sad while taking YAN's baby back to Hong Kong. NICK wanted to come to Hong Kong from Philippines via illegal means so as to avenge on TIM, but the snakehead cheated him and wanted more money. NICK was furious. A fortune teller pointed out to LAI that he would only have two sons upon his death so LAI accepted the fact that HANG must have died already. TIM found out that YIN previously had a new alternative to save YAN. After interrogating YIN, TIM found out the real cause of BILL's death. As the killer, LEON had asked TIM for $300 million Taiwan dollars in order to tell the truth, TIM embezzled the money from the company, MING TAI to give to LEON. TIM brought the baby to the clinic and later met with LEON……

TIM wanted to bring a gun to see NGAI but KAN threw it away. TIM then took a pipe along but was almost killed by NGAI's subordinates. Luckily the police came. KEI told TIM that KEUNG wanted to bail him out but TIM knew it was YIN's help instead. NGAI received a man's call from the Philippines. Feeling uneasy, he decided to go to the Philippines. He had actually fallen into TIM's trap. YIN received yellow roses from TIM and felt strange. TIM cooked dinner and filled out an immigration application form. KAN also felt strange. YIN persuaded TIM not to kill NGAI. TIM said he had no passport so he could not go anyway. YIN believed him. TIM excused himself and tried to leave but KAN called YIN to stop TIM from going. TIM was determined to leave despite YIN's begging and weeping. NGAI arrived at Philippines and met a Philippino man at the bar. NICK and LING bumped into TIM on the street. NICK was besieged by the police but LING helped him escape. LING was caught instead NGAI called LAI for help. The Philippine police could not find NGAI. NGAI was caught by some Philippinos and they required TIM to pay up one million US dollars. TIM asked YIN for assistance but TIM was locked up by the police. YIN pretended to be LAI's lawyer to see TIM. YIN helped TIM to deliver the ransom but was shocked to see NGAI's killing on the spot. LAI acknowledged NGAI's death and bribed the Philippine police to kill TIM. Luckily TIM was saved by the troops who kidnapped HANG. TIM found HANG was alive and that WAI had been sold to the hillside area. To save HANG, TIM split with HANG to distract the troop. TIM eventually got a lift on NICK's car. Suddenly the police came. TIM was beated up by the police. When LAI received a call from HANG, LAI was overjoyed. HANG begged LAI to save TIM……

TIM came back to Hong Kong and was sent to the police. They suspected TIM had something to do with NGAI's killing. LAI blamed HANG of sending TIM a lawyer. HANG said more people would be hurt if LAI pursued further with the case and begged LAI to let go. NICK was caught while trying to come to Hong Kong. FONG begged HO to save NICK. HO was an oriental police in the Philippines. HO saved NICK and asked NICK to help out with the local triad gang leader. NICK saved TUNG's life at their first encounter. TUNG was grateful at heart. LAI was furious about NGAI's death and he took out on PING. PING voiced out her sad grievance and their tension eased. At NGAI's funeral, KAN came to play tribute but was rejected. TIM came to bring KAN home. KAN reprimanded TIM harshly and had a stroke. TIM knew KAN would not forgive him and decided to return the company, NICK TIN to HANG and to start all over himself……

NICK was shocked but also enlightened that if he wanted to avenge, ten years time would not be too long to wait. CHAK said he would start a business with friends in China. TIM supported him which surprised CHAK. TIM watched KAN walked with difficulty to go buy breakfast. He made use of the time to carry him on his back home to show his remorse and was forgiven by KAN. The stock price fell due to the cancellation of Smokeless City. TIM was depressed and NA made use of a game to give him encouragement. There was a little progress with the Smokeless City Plan. KEUNG strongly asked TIM to abandon the plan. NICK proposed to LING and succeeded. NICK accused himself from the plan to get married. TIM refused to accept his resignation. NICK persuaded JAN to have a surgery. TIM stayed aside JAN and asked KEUNG to take care of Smokeless City. NA prayed to exchange her own well-being for the good of YIP’s family. TIM was touched. GAN was ordered to kidnap MAN and KEUNG. During JAN’s surgery operation, TIM found out MAN and KEUNG being kidnapped and reported to the police. NA suspected it was GAN’s deed and rushed to the Yuen Long stone hut. After knowing Smokeless City had been rejected by the government, LEUNG let lose of MAN and KEUNG. NICK gave the false order to kill them. GAN released them instead. TIM received a mysterious call that PING was in danger. PING’s car was besieged. CHUNG protected PING with his own life. When TIM arrived, CHUNG was in critical condition. KEUNG went to see NICK about LING and they had a fight. TIM suspected FUN was the mysterious caller and went to see her but was found out by NICK. NICK suspected FUN had leaked out his secrets and ordered HO to kill FUN. TIM waited at the eatery for the mysterious caller but KAM appeared. HO kidnapped both KAM and TIM and forced NICK to kill his own father. NICK shot at HO and others, but had no bullets left to kill TIM. NICK dragged TIM to a car hoping to bury him……
