    LUK-HEI urges LAU-FEI to write back to SEUNG-LING so as not to make her worry. At last LAU-FEI issues a letter himself. NAM-MUNG suddenly sees YING-KAM smoking tobacco despite being pregnant, so he cannot refrain from persuading her to stop. TSAU-YIN defends NAM-MUNG, and in a moment of desperation, he even hurts YING-KAM inadvertently, making her lapse into a coma with a lot of blood gushing out from her lower abdomen. SEUNG-LING complains to Lady YUE-YUET about the letter received from LAU-FEI. According to the letter, LAU-FEI wants to sever his relationship with SEUNG-LING.
