Everyone gathers for Des's funeral. Mia arrives from America and develops an odd friendship with Carol before taking up residence at Rob and Sharon's, greatly annoying both of them. After Chris's threats, Fran gets dumped by her boyfriend, and she gets very upset, and knocks on Chris's door, and punches him in the nose. Rob picks up a drunken Sharon from a bar, and they head home. However, Sharon decides she wants to order some pizza, so Rob drops her off. While Rob looks for a place to park, his car gets hit by another car. Although bleeding, he is still conscious, and confesses to Sharon that he has been drinking again, and will fail the breathalyser test that the police will give him, due to the accident.

Episode 6

Sharon's parents visit from Ireland and have a strained introduction to Rob. More health complications create stress for them both, and Rob's secret friendship with Chris explodes in his face.

Episode 4

In the final episode, Sharon and Rob arrive in Boston for a family holiday only to receive some tragic news about Rob's mum, Mia. Under pressure, the couple need to negotiate an estranged family member and a 'grief vampire', while Rob has a tempting, but complicated offer from an old friend.

Can Sharon, 'an extraordinarily good-smelling woman', and Rob, 'a sturdy love-maker', navigate the thorny situations they find themselves in and still find time for an emergency shag in a stairwell?

Episode 1

Sharon faces the reality of having a new room-mate in the form of Rob, the man whose child she happens to be carrying. She introduces him to her brother Fergal who gives them both a royal hard time.

Episode 2

Rob officially returns to work and has some awkward encounters with his co-workers. Des has a stroke, prompting Sharon and Fergal to travel back to Ireland where family tensions intensify. Rob is left alone to look after the kids. Chris confronts and threatens Fran's new boyfriend.

Episode 5

Sharon decides on her maid of honour and Rob asks Sharon's brother Fergal to be his best man. Rob and Sharon enjoy their stag and hen nights, both of which spiral out of control.

Rob faces an indecent proposal from an exotic new colleague, while Sharon suffers a tough rejection from her only 'mum friend'.

Rob picks up where he left off last time, with an unexplained receipt for the morning after pill in his hand and a lot of questions for Sharon. Too drunk at the time to remember what she did, Sharon dodges Rob's interrogation and goes to see Nico perform with his band to find out the truth. Will she tell Rob what actually happened? The issue is unexpectedly forced when one of the kids has an accident.

A new acquaintance becomes increasingly friendly with Rob, while Sharon dabbles in a new hobby.

Sharon is unsettled by a strange moisture patch at school, while Rob's big boss visits London and takes a close interest in his career. Fran and Chris make a major decision.

Sharon and Rob plan their wedding while Rob plans a surprise birthday party for Sharon. Rob is fired via Skype by his Boston bosses and begins searching for employment in London.

Rob and Sharon embark on a trip to Paris in order to galvanise their love life. Unfortunately, results are mixed at best.

Episode 3

While Rob faces some ugly accusations at work, Sharon realises that she's not ready to return to teaching.

Rob and Sharon are estranged. While Rob falls off the wagon, Sharon has a heavy night out that could have dire consequences.

Rob and Sharon are still on shaky ground with each other and face challenges in their work lives too. Sharon returns to teaching, leaving Rob looking for a new job while in charge of the school run, where he is immediately embroiled in playground politics. Elsewhere Sharon's brother Fergal is moving to Spain, and while Rob goes to see Dave recovering in rehab, could his own addiction issues be rearing their ugly head?

Rob's newly religious sister Sidney visits from the US, and a child's accident at school reveals a surprising teacher-pupil rapport to Sharon.

Pregnant Sharon's hormones plague her with waves of horniness and sadness and a host of other fears. Rob begins a clandestine friendship with Chris, who is married to a woman Sharon can't stand.

Times have changed for the turbulent lovers with their new arrival at home. A family gathering brings Rob's mother and an incident with a dog.

Rob and Sharon find themselves facing financial difficulty after hearing bad news from the estate agent. Rob's at an all-time low and tries to battle his weight gain by joining a gym. Sharon's friend Fran is also dealing with vanity issues and tries to kick start a new life with plastic surgery. A last ditch attempt to resolve their money problems results in Rob being humiliated - will it lead him crawling back to his old job?

Sharon and Rob decide to get on a fitness drive. When Sharon visits her less-than- sympathetic local GP it dawns on her she's not in the peak condition she imagined.

Rob is pretty unenthusiastic about celebrating brother-in-law Fergal's 40th birthday, while Sharon comes face-to-face with her mum's 'new man'.

As Rob and Sharon celebrate a tainted wedding anniversary, Fran and Chris are drifting further apart. Elsewhere, Dave's flourishing love affair with Catherine - a high achiever he's met through AA - is gathering momentum.

Rob and Sharon have a weird dinner experience with estranged couple Fran and Chris. Catherine confronts Dave with the shocking revelation that she is pregnant. Sharon's parents visit and Fergal is back from Spain. Rob returns to his old job while Sharon gets some unexpected news from the doctor.
