The tensions increase at the Ewing's ranch as the search for Miss Ellie and Jessica continues.

J.R.'s deals in Asia may end up costing him Ewing Oil, as well as his freedom. Meanwhile, Dusty tries to get Sue Ellen to take John Ross and leave J.R.

J.R.'s infidelity sees Sue Ellen beginning to drink again. Miss Ellie wants to know if Clayton has feelings towards Sue Ellen. Pam returns from France wanting to know what is going on between Bobby and Katherine. Cliff still refuses to allow Bobby to have the needed drill bit he requires.

It's time for the annual Ewing Barbecue (where the Ewings feed half of Texas) but there is an unexpected guest, Digger Barnes. But this guest comes alongside unexpected news, Pam's pregnant!

Pamela is convinced J.R. framed Cliff for Julie's death so Bobby sets out to find out what really caused Julie's death.

J.R. is rushed to the hospital in critical condition following his gunshot wound. As the police investigate, they discover many people have the motive for shooting J.R. and everyone patiently waits by J.R.'s bedside hoping he will wake up and identify the shooter.

Cliff is really upset by Sue Ellen's return to J.R.. Bobby ends up revealing the truth about Christopher's parentage to Pam. Clayton returns to town. Lucy ends up admitting a terrible secret.

Rebecca fights for her life following the plane crash as Cliff and Pam pray for her recovery. The TEC have a rethink concerning J.R.'s drilling variance

Mickey is left comatose following the car crash. Bobby blames Holly and Clayton blames J.R. for Sue Ellen starting to drink again. Lucy blames Sue Ellen for what has happened to Mickey. J.R. offers Holly the chance to buy him out of her company. Mark wants a commitment from Pam.

J.R. has Cliff arrested for murder when Julie is found dead.

Amos, Ray Krebbs' father, arrives in Southfork with shocking news. Meanwhile, Bobby must deal with his first crisis at Ewing Oil when a tanker and the 600,000 barrels onboard sink.

As J.R. flirts with Afton at the wedding, Sue Ellen finds herself pursuing an old boyfriend.

Bobby finds himself being questioned about Farraday's murder. The rest of the family await word about Lucy's kidnapping. Donna reveals what she found out about Jock and Sam's scheme.

The battle over Jock's will ends up in court. J.R. wants to use Mark Graison to cause problems between Pam and Bobby.

Ray ends up being charged with Mickey's murder. Punk reveals who the winner is in the battle for Ewing Oil. Holly attempts to pursue a relationship with Bobby.

Ray learns his fate as his trial for the murder of Mickey comes to an end. Pam isn't happy to see Jenna at the Oil Baron's Ball.

JR manages to trick Katherine. Cliff realises the severity of his current situation.
