Abby brings everyone back to Los Angeles and the girls audition and are cast for a music video. The girls compete against each other because only one girl can be cast as the lead in the video. The directors end up casting Chloe as the lead because she looks the part.

With Nationals only six weeks away, the mothers begin to worry about the ever-changing team, Nia gets her first solo, Abby gives two new dancers a chance to shine and the veteran mothers go on the attack when a new mother insults their children.

The Dance Moms need to win this week's competition to stay in the game, but chaos ensues when Mom Kelly's daughter wants to drop out of dance as she hurts her hip and she wants to be a cheerleader. Kelly convinces her daughter to stay in dance, pushing her so far that it may cause permanent injuries.

The new competition season is underway, but Abby is extremely disappointed in the girls because they blew off dance class during the break. So, Abby holds an open audition to bring new blood to the team hoping to replace Brooke and Paige and teach the girls a lesson. Abby also pits Chloe and Maddie head-to-head, putting a lot of pressure on Chloe who just beat Maddie out of a national title.

The Dance Moms try to make it out on their own and book a performance for their kids. Meanwhile, a Dance Mom from Abby's past vows to have revenge.

Laurieann's intensity and passion shakes things up at the ALDC, but will her unique methods and choreography be enough to win? Meanwhile, ex-ALDC member Chloe returns to the competition world for the first time in two years to dance against her former teammates.

Emotions run high as the team prepares for their final Nationals competition as the Irreplaceables. With four solos, the girls go head-to-head to see who can come out on top as the National title winner. As this chapter comes to an end, the moms and girls all contemplate what their future holds.

The Dance Moms allow their girls to wear outfits at the competition that are revealing and the scandal threatens to bring down the house. Abby's attempt to turn up the competition heat blows the audience away with what some may call an inappropriate dance number. She hopes it will give them their next big win. But it could backfire.

On their way to a big competition, Christi finds out that her grandmother has been admitted into a hospital. She now must choose whether to go to the hospital to sit by her grandmother's side or go to the dance competition.
