The news of the Zwide murders is met with mixed emotions by the Ngubanes who had strong ties with them. The new detective assigned to the Zwide case has Linda cornered as his main suspect. Detective Conway takes the opportunity to blackmail Linda to be part of his dangerous mission.

Linda's undercover stint is is compromised when she meets an old friend at the Ngubane's event. Mkhonto is impressed by Linda and makes her an offer that traps her in their deadly home.

The bloodied knife gives Detective Miya confirmation about Linda. Conway wants Linda to get rid of Maria before Miya gets to her. Mkhonto and Miya's secret affair is exposed.

Mtho suspects there's something going on between Conway and Linda and sets out to uncover the truth. Meanwhile Clive finds out that Noli knows more about June's murder than she's letting on. Colonel Venter's search for Miya leads her to Conway's house. Linda suspects Conway isn't telling her the truth about Miya

One of the special project cases comes back to threaten the Ngubane's empire as the family deals with Clive's fragile health. Linda finds out the truth about June's death.

Thuli takes Linda's advice in an effort to prove she can head up the family business. Mkhonto starts to worry about Miya's silence and goes out in search of him. Linda's quest to destroy the Ngubanes and Thuli's determination to prove she's ready to lead the family leads to a tragedy.

A death in the Ngubane family brings the house into conflict with Clive wanting revenge and Noli wanting to silence Linda about what she saw.

Linda finds out she's still a main suspect in the Zwide murders and her inheritance us being withheld. Noli forbids Clive from finding his child with June. Mkhonto regrets telling Noli about Miya's death. Mtho gets closer to finding out the truth about Linda and the Zwide murders.

Linda goes up against Conway when she puts her own plan into action to take down the Ngubanes. Mtho is burdened by finding the murder weapons.

Linda has to lie and manipulate her way when she's almost found out that she's a lawyer and capable of murder. Mkhonto is ready to kill when the police come for her arrest. Sydney washes his hands off his family in his pursuit for the law career.

Linda uses Sydney to get closer to Mkhonto. Clive and Mtho's bond grows but Clive still doesn't reveal he's his father. Linda's betrayal complicates Conway's life when she protects Mkhonto. Noli chooses Clive over Mkhonto's life in her attempt to save her marriage but then finds out Clive lied.

Noli finds out where Mtho is and that Clive plans to leave half of his fortunes to him. Conway, questioning Mkhonto about Thuli's death, has Mkhonto suspect there's a spy in the house. Conway has no choice but to confess to Colonel Venter about what he's done.

Mkhonto's loyalty to Noli makes it harder for Linda to turn her. Noli's world falls apart when Clive chooses Mtho over her and Sydney refusing to come back home. Linda gets home to find Mtho missing and blood on the floor.
