In search of her brother Massimo, who had left home years earlier and whom she had lost track of, Mitzi meets Elisa, a drug addict and Massimo's ex-girlfriend. Elisa asks Mitzi for money for her brother, and the boy complies, in the hope of finally seeing Massimo again. Meanwhile Sara, after yet another quarrel with her mother, leaves home, risking getting into trouble.

Debora is in love with Luca Carboni and, taking advantage of the fact that the singer has to perform in the city, she goes to his agency where she makes friends with Sergio, a member of her staff, who promises to introduce her to him. When the day of the concert arrives, Debora is punished by her parents, but she decides to run away to meet Luca. She will discover at her expense that the promises she had received were only lies…

Mitzi discovers that her brother Massimo works in a circus and that he is in the city, so she joins him and notices that he seems to have settled down and is about to have a child with Margherita. He takes him home to his father, but a quarrel arises between the two. Meanwhile, DJ Felix makes fun of the boys on the wall, who decide to find out what his true identity is.

Franz faces a test of courage that leads him to become "one of the wall". Christian goes to the stadium and argues with a fan; the latter chases him with the motorbike and, taking advantage of his absence, breaks into the shop of Cristian's mother, smashing everything. Sara is selected for a dance recital by the étoile Madame Corti, but she is warned by her mother about the behavior of the star.

Johnny's mother is increasingly busy, and leaves her two little and pestiferous sons Timmi and Tommi with her grandfather. Meanwhile Elena is very successful as a model for a mineral water advertisement and is pushed by her father to leave for New York and make a career. However, the surrounding environment is not the best.

Giuliana babysits for a little girl, but before the landlords go out to spend the evening out, the couple's son shows up to ask her for money. Sent away in no uncertain terms, the boy returns at night and surprises Giuliana in her sleep by laying his hands on her. Due to the sudden return of his father and stepmother, he has to leave quickly, but he has time to order Giuliana to keep quiet.

As the kids enter the classroom, someone holes up in the school bathroom. Meanwhile Johnny takes blood tests and soon after arrives late to school. The janitor, after seeing him go by, finds a syringe in the bathroom and suspects him. Furthermore, the gymnastics teacher punishes him for being late and the boy, due to the blood sample, faints in front of him, allowing him to see the holes in his arm.

While her mother is abroad, Sara discovers she is pregnant. Her choice to have an abortion seems forced but Simone disappoints her immensely when she tells her that she already has the check ready for the abortion. The girl refuses the money and she thinks of doing everything by herself but Stefania, worried about her friend, decides to tell her father about it, making him promise not to reveal her secret.

Professor Testa is accused of harassment by Valeria, one of his students. Johnny, however, defends the professor in front of the principal, and then calls an assembly with the other boys, but at the crucial moment he remains the only one to expose himself, while one of his companions accuses him of not having been authorized to be their spokesperson.

Christian realizes he can't feel his legs anymore and doesn't want to see Stefania anymore who, suffocated by guilt, leaves Ludovico. Meanwhile Mitzi, to support himself in his new home, works in a bar, but Laura, one of his academy classmates, offers him to take over a share in a graphics studio by paying a large sum of money.

Christian discovers that his mother can't pay for the shop's upgrading work because she spent everything and Simone is made fun of by friends who start making jokes about those who have the money but selfishly don't help anyone. Simone then secretly sells her car to lend the money to Christian, pretending it is a loan from her father.

Gigi has a small motorcycle accident that prevents him from entering school with the notes for the math test. To save his class is Stefano, a fifth grade boy who approaches Debora. When Gigi finds out about this, he tries to warn her about her. A few days later his motorbike will be stolen and seeing his keychain on Stefano, Gigi attacks him.

Giuliana leaves to go to her cousin just as Franz is in crisis because he fears that his parents want to separate. Franz finds comfort in Sara who calls all her friends together to accompany him to her parents. After a quiet dinner, in which Franz believes he has misunderstood everything, his father and mother inform him that they intend to separate.

Mitzi and Elena discover that an elderly opera singer, Esmeralda Serpieri, lives upstairs, alone and with little money. The boys decide to help her, until they find out that she has an enforceable eviction and that the only one who can do anything for her is a mysterious admirer. Meanwhile Sahid is about to leave for Monaco with his brother, but he changes his mind because he is in love with Debora.

Debora ran away from home after being found by her father with Sahid and takes refuge at school, where a week of self-management is underway. In the meantime Simone has become engaged to Patrizia and Pietro takes his revenge by filling the school with writings, which his classmates will be forced to clean up the next morning. Patrizia, to punish Simone who had written a poem to Sara about her declaring her love for her, warns Debora's parents about her relationship with Sahid. In order to live her story, Debora is ready to leave for Monaco, but Stefania warns her father that, in order to make her stay, he promises not to do anything against Sahid.

Johnny's father has apparently disappeared, but in reality he has returned to Rome and reveals to his son that he is engaged to a girl much younger than him, Serena. Gigi has just found out that he was adopted and resents everyone because he had never been revealed to him until then. Together with Sahid, Gigi participates in selections for a volleyball team in Milan, but only Sahid is selected to leave.

Against her father's wishes, Elena has moved in with Mitzi: the boys take Andrea, who left school and family to try to become an actor, to Mitzi's house, unaware that their friend now has a live-in partner. Professor Testa intervenes to try to convince Andrea to continue his studies while he pursues his dream. Giuliana's long-awaited first time does not take place because Franz has drunk too much and feels bad: the boys find out everything and make fun of Franz for what has happened, so much so that the boy consoles himself with Betty. Elena, after yet another quarrel with her father, decides to go and see her father race in the rally, but because of her Mitzi arrives late, when the car to be tested has already crashed into the side of a mountain.

Giuliana surprised Franz with Betty and was left in her desperation by her friend Stefania, fed up with his constant whining. Elena has decided to distance herself from Mitzi and has to move to Paris to follow her mother. Meanwhile, Giuliana and Cristian, who both feel abandoned by their friends, find themselves making love. Giuliana confesses the crime to Franz, who does not accept the betrayal and reveals it to Debora during rehearsals for Andrea's show, without realizing that the microphones are open.

The boys go to look at the prostitutes and save Lilith from a fight: the girl rejects the courtship of Andrea and Simone being attracted only by Mitzi, who has his heart and mind occupied only by his Elena. Elena has started drinking heavily and Sara decides to take her to her house, where her mother tells her that she too had suffered from alcoholism in the past. Elena then decides to come to her senses and gets closer to Mitzi, but Andrea and Simone, to take revenge on the boy, give Elena the keys to the house, despite knowing that Lilith is there: Elena finds them embracing and falls back into the alcohol trap.

The little orphan Paolo is brought back to the orphanage by a couple who have discovered that they are expecting a child: the child, traumatized, is no longer able to speak. Don Vittorio, who keeps him with him, calls the home repair business that the boys have set up "S.O.S. casa", and on that occasion Gigi meets Paolo, to whom he becomes attached. Paolo and Debora come back to see him and, for his birthday, they take him to a toy shop, where the boy asks for a very expensive video game: Debora scolds him rudely and Gigi gets angry with the girl who, to make up for it, tries to steal the toy. The overseer asks her for money in exchange for her silence. Don Vittorio is forced to close the soccer field, which has become unusable due to a downpour, and Paolo asks the boys to use the money they have raised to pay for the damage. Debora, however, asks Paolo for that money to pay her loan shark, and Gigi believes that it was Paolo who stole it from her. Paul runs away.

Cristian discovers a relationship between his mother and the representative Livio. Cristian falls ill due to the trauma that the news causes him and his mother decides to leave Livio, concealing from her son that it is a gesture to protect him. Professor Testa is replaced by the holder of the chair, Professor Licitra, who has much stricter methods than the previous teacher. The boys see that, outside of school, the professor gives money to a girl who sells necklaces and they follow her. The girl lives in a family home run by Doctor Guido Cogliati: the professor's son, suffering from AIDS, is hospitalized in the family home.

Simone's father hides in Fregene being investigated by the Guardia di Finanza due to some false invoices: he contacts his son, who joins him with Cristian and Stefania, shortly after the Finance also arrives to arrest him. Sara, having fallen in love with Doctor Guido, throws herself headlong into volunteering in the family home, coming into contact with the difficult reality of young people with AIDS. Sahid returns, but Debora's enthusiasm is so great that he is unable to confess to the girl that he will have to leave for Canada, where he has been hired by another volleyball team. Doctor Guido is forced to move to Tuscany with his patients, as he is under eviction. Stefania remembers an important detail regarding the arrest of Simone's father, which will change her fate.

Franz sees his house burgled by thieves and Simone his car destroyed, after Simone's father had received an anonymous phone call asking him for 300 million lire. Stefania connects the two events, which occurred immediately after Betty had reappeared. Debora, determined to participate in an audition for an advertisement, gives up considering herself too fat. To lose weight, she tries to fill herself with low-calorie drinks, but she feels bad and is hospitalized. Johnny goes to the advertisers begging them to call Debora.

Carlo is a paraplegic boy who prefers not to be helped and keeps everyone at a distance. Johnny manages to become his friend and together with the others goes to find him: after discovering that Carlo was playing in a band before the accident that paralyzed him, the group decides to involve him in a musical project, even if the path will not be at all easy.

Johnny, Cristian and Gigi save a girl from rape, but Cristian's diary falls into the hands of one of the criminals, who calls him ordering silence. Cristian is afraid and does not reveal the license plate to the police: when he decides to go back to tell the policemen what he knows, he is attacked. Andrea begins a story with the art history substitute teacher, which will soon come to light. The police inspectors, meanwhile, manage to find a way to convince Cristian to cooperate.
