Balder has kept his family's past a secret, even from his partner, Helle. At the baptism of his first child, he organizes a peaceful family gathering, but his plans get threatened when his father, Lars, shows up unannounced.

Episode 1

Balder tries to make the best of the situation, but Anne-Lise flees the scene when she sees her ex-husband Lars. Back in the happier '70s, Lars sends a photo of Anne-Lise's naked behind in a competition, resulting in a personal and domestic conflict.
