Liella! gets past the regional prelims. Chisato quietly tells the other second-years about the skill difference between them and the first-years, which may affect them going to the finals. Keke thinks things are fine as they are but Sumire seems uneasy.

Keke always thought that studying hard and doing well in school was everything, but something changed in middle school. Liella! gets a chance to perform at the Shanghai Fes because of Mengmeng. Meanwhile, Keke decides to go to college after high school...

Yuigaoka Girls' High School's first graduation ceremony is just around the corner. The first and second-years of Liella! are preparing for a third win at Love Live, so the third-years write one final song for them just before they graduate.

Liella! heads to Kinako's home for a training camp to prepare for the finals. To bring everyone closer, they decide that both first- and second-years work together on the songwriting, choreography, and other duties. Meanwhile, Kanon ponders their sound.

Natsumi's little sister, Tomari, joins the New School Idol Club and they begin their activities as Tomakanote. Their first show is an upcoming remote concert, but their motivations concerning school idols are totally different, causing some friction.

Liella! feels motivated more than ever after seeing Tomakanote's remote concert. To show Liella!'s new potential, Chisato chooses Shiki for the next center. Shiki is unsure why she's chosen for the center and passes out during practice from the pressure.

The first-year, Shiki Wakana, knows that her classmate, Mei Yoneme, loves school idols, but is having a hard time joining the School Idol Club, so she comes up with a plan. She decides to join Liella! herself and makes sure Mei finds out.

Liella! is finally all together. The 11 girls start training together, but Margarete is having trouble fitting in. Kanon wants Margarete to fit in, so she asks her to think of the formation for their next performance.

Liella! and Tomakanote had a successful performance in Shanghai. Liella! wants Tomakanote to join them, but Margarete still wants to beat them and Tomari also declines. But only one group can go to the Love Live. Kanon's solution is a sleepover?!

The losing team will have to grant one wish from the winning team. That was the promise Liella! and Tomakanote made for the school festival. Two members from each team: Mei, Natsumi, Tomari, and Margarete, were chosen to make the song for the competition.

1st term is over and summer vacation is about to begin at Yuigaoka. The 1st gen students are one step closer to graduation so Keke and Kanon talk about their futures, but Keke is unsure of hers. During break, the girls head to Shanghai.

Kanon heads to Vienna alone to finish her enrollment paperwork. Keke, Chisato, Sumire, and Ren decide their career paths for after they graduate. Meanwhile, the 2nd years try to come up with a song to ensure their victory at the Love Live.

People start to wonder what the future holds for Liella! & Tomakanote. The two groups bump into each other one day during training. They have a little scuffle, then Natsumi & Tomari run off somewhere. The girls chase them & they somehow end up in Ushiku.

Liella! now has 9 members after Natsumi joins and the Love Live is finally announced. There is no set theme this time for their song, so they excitedly get to work on it. Ren agrees to write the song, but Mei notices that she's been acting strange lately.

Liella! now has 6 members after Kinako joins, but no one joins after that. According to Kinako, the reason is because there were rumors that the training was too hard. Liella! decides to make their training regimen simpler to attract new students but…

Liella! holds a strategy meeting for the Love Live. This year's Love Live will be held remotely, meaning the stage they use needs to stand out. Kanon tries to figure out a symbol that represents Liella! and their school so they can create the right stage.

The director suggests to Kanon that she transfer to the Vienna National Academy of Music, but Kanon's unsure. Chisato also wants Kanon to go so she can make her dream come true, but Kanon's worried about Liella!, so she decides not to go, but…

Liella! is invited to be the headliner at a school idol fes that they performed at last year. While Kinako is nervous about her first big performance, one of the other performers named Wien Margarete lets her powerful voice resonate through the venue.

Kanon is suddenly told that her study abroad was cancelled. At school, the remaining Liella! members continue to practice, determined to make up for Kanon's absence. Meanwhile, Margarete, who has become a student at Yuigaoka, establishes a "New School Idol Club" to compete with Liella!. However, Kanon sees a reflection of her former self in Margarete, who is unable to recruit new members. Kanon is torn between returning to Liella!, who she already said goodbye to, and isn't sure what decision she should make...

A new school year has begun at Yuigaoka Girls' High School. Liella! is practicing up on the roof as usual, and a new student named Kinako Sakurakoji is drawn in by their voices. She ends up sneaking into the school and quietly watches them train and...

Liella! wins at the Tokyo Tournament, but Wien is unable to accept this fact and storms off. The girls celebrate their victory at Kanon's home, then head to their first shrine visit of the new year. Meanwhile, Kanon wonders why Wien really came to Japan.

After Mei and Shiki join, Liella! now has 8 members. Natsumi Onitsuka finds out about Liella!'s popularity and tells them that she wants to produce them through her company. Liella! agrees so they can concentrate on their training, but Sumire has doubts.

The first-years go off to do their own thing during the summer which worries Kanon, but the others tell her it's a good thing that they're working hard on their own. Meanwhile, the first-years are at Kinako's home in Hokkaido with Natsumi for training.

Kanon Shibuya takes the entrance exams for the music program at Yuigaoka Girls' High School. But she fails her singing test and ends up taking the general curriculum. She is approached by Keke Tang from her class who asks her to be a school idol with her.
