Karen is coming home to her chosen family for Thanksgiving held on the 4th of July. She has cancer. Unbeknowst to all of them, it may be her last time.

Tom prepares for his upcoming singing engagement, and Karen has heartfelt talks with Roberta and Charlie. Meanwhile, Brendon is desperately trying to get to Karen.

Grace questions Paul's sexuality, Roberta and Donny commit to giving love a chance, and Star finds out why Brendon left the relationship. Roberta competes in the Slay Model Search and Tom performs at the Eagle. Four LGBTQ+ couples navigate their lives while sharing a compound in the Silver Lake district of Los Angeles.

All the couples join Karen for the big Thanksgiving dinner and Brendon shows up at last, just in time for 4th of July fireworks. A welcome phone call brings them hope for Karen's illness.

Karen is in remission from cancer. Brendon is moving back home, and Star is worried about Jeffrey and Brendon's relationship. Paul questions his sexuality. Roberta is ghosted by her boyfriend.

Charlie hasn't gotten his meds for his bipolar disorder. Paul and Diego hook up.

Charlie goes missing and Tom is devastated. Brendon arrives home. Star wants nothing to do with Jeffrey and Brendon.

Charlie gets out of the hospital. Brendon talks to Star, and Roberta goes on a date with Clint. The group celebrates Halloween on Labor Day, and Tom sings.
