Changing Faces

Aka series262 ep1. Essie and Teo make crowns for the toys. They make muesli. The story of 'The Princess and the Pea' is performed. Through the windows we see people going to bed.

Aka s262.2 In the Once Upon a Time Storybook Emma the mermaid has an underwater adventure. Karen and Andrew use Meeka to tell the story 'Meekapunzal'. Through the windows are tropical fish. Karen and Andrew make fairies with tulle wings.

Mermaids and Fairies

Aka s262.3 Essie and Teo make colourful banners, paint a picture and perform 'Emperor Big Ted's New Clothes'. Through the windows there is a book parade. The Storybook features a wizard, genie and horse who enjoy a cup of tea from a Magic Teapot.

Magic

Aka s262.4 Karen and Teo dress up as dragons and unicorns. The story is 'The Dudgeon is Coming' by Lynley Dodd. Through the windows is ice skating. The Once Upon a Time Storybook has a horse asking a wizard to turn him into a unicorn.

Aka s262.5 Karen and Andrew perform the story 'Snow White and the Five Dwarves'. Through the windows are lanterns. They make apple turnover. King Wally and Queen Shirley throw a party for all the storybook characters.

Banquets and Feasts

Join Eddie and Zindzi as they play the 'Spinners Are Grinners' Game Show, decorate hoops, see children spinning in the park through the windows, make and decorate roly poly clowns (that spin around a straw and roll on a cylindrical box) and fly like birds and butterflies.

Hoops

Come along with Leah and Teo as they make a garbage truck, see some children making a cardboard bus through the windows, spin the wheel on the 'Spinners Are Grinners' Game Show, make pin wheels and make a farm with the toys. The story of 'Little Ted and the Windmill' is acted out with the toys.

Windmills

Eddie and Leah make paper teddies and dolls for a special outing. They make a Teddy Bear turnaround with a lazy susan. The presenters see a teddy bears' picnic through the windows, fix bikes in the workshop, and make a hot air balloon for the toys.

Come along as Teo and Alex play in the Play School general store. The presenters make zucchini slice with zucchini, rocket and spring onions. Alex and Teo do some water wheel painting using food colouring and soapy bubbles. They watch children playing with hobby horses through the windows.

Join Rachael and Eddie as they wake up the sleeping toys on the 'Spinners Are Grinners' Game Show, weave wool through hoops, see children spinning on a roundabout through the windows and play in Humpty's clock shop, where Tippy the Duck and Henny Penny the chicken are hiding in a Cuckoo Clock.

Clocks and Roundabouts

Join Teo and Alex as they create a faces box game, make photo frames for pictures of some special faces for the Play School Portrait Gallery and look through the windows at a big sister with her baby brother. The story is 'Grandma, the baby and me'.

Young and Old

Come along with Eddie and Rachael as they draw outlines of their bodies, take Big Ted and Little Ted for a check up and create colourful portraits of Maurice. Plus, we meet brother and sister twins through the windows. The story is performed by Rachael and Eddie and is called 'Talya's Happy Day'.

Same and Different

Justine and Eddie welcome some rabbit visitors and take their photo. Come along as they play an animal guessing game with a box decorated with animal faces, have fun with monster dress ups and meet a pet dog through the windows. Justine and Eddie perform the story of 'Arella's Camping Trip'.

Animal Faces

Join Alex and Rachael as they play with disguises, make pig puppets and a pig puppet theatre, prepare a baguette crocodile to add to the Play School portrait gallery and see a boy cooking with his grandma through the windows. The story is 'Hurry Up Alfie'.

Masks and Wigs

Rachael and Eddie paint a face with spray bottles, make cake tin faces with magazine clippings, create a pop-up card with a picture of the toys, visit the Play School Portrait Gallery and meet some brothers through the windows. The story is 'Have You Seen Duck?'.

Artistic Expressions

Join Alex, Miranda, Teo and Karen for a special celebration at the Play School House. They welcome a new Play School friend Joey, make party hats and a birthday banner. Through the windows we meet sisters who use sign language.

50th Birthday Special

Come along with Eddie and Rachael as they welcome some duckling visitors, make a party picture, host the Harvest Show Dance and look through the windows as some friends tell us why colours make them happy.

Harvest Show Dance

Join Eddie, Michelle and special guest Claire as they explore making sounds and rhythms and have a naming day for a new friend, Joey. Plus, look through the windows as some sisters tell us why they love the beach.

Music

Teo and Emma play with mud and make mud cakes. Come along as they put on a splishy, splashy Ning Nang Nong Show and look through the windows as Jarrah tells us what he loves about his backyard.

Cleanup

Join Emma, Michelle and Eddie as they play some silly song games, have a party around the piano, create surprise pictures and look through the windows to meet Ziggy, who tells us why his dogs make him happy.

Games

Abi and Kaeng make a Family Book and introduce us to 'Banksy' and the Banksia family, including their pet dog, and they make breath-fresh doggie treats for special guest Roni the dog.

Andrew and Hunter introduce Banksy's grandparents and Andrew shows us photos of his grandparents kept inside a treasure box. They make a delicious Vietnamese salad and Through The Windows, we meet grandparents across Australia.

Emma and Hunter visit Banksy's veggie garden to tell the story of "Too Many Tomatoes". They have a fruity festival with the toys and make a yummy, dried fruit salad. Through The Windows, we visit all sorts of community gardens.

Karen and Teo build a nature mandala to make a frog pond. They visit Banksy's friends at the playground and then we're off to the "Quick-As-Can-Be-Grand Prix" with the toys! Through The Windows, we meet many special friends.

Play School is an Australian Gold Logie award winning educational television show for children produced by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and then Southern Star Entertainment in 2014. It is the longest-running children's show in Australia, and the second longest running children's show in the world.  

In 2016, Play School celebrated 50 years on the air.  An estimated 80% of pre-school children under six watch the programme at least once a week. 

It is screened twice every weekday afternoon at 3:05 pm on ABC1 every day 9:30 am and weekday 4:30 pm on ABC2's ABC4 Kids.
