The legacy

Everyone in Wilkowyje learns Lucy decided to move permanently. The mayor and his wife plot to change her mind.

The mayor is sure he will win the oncoming election, when he finds out Lucy is a candidate as well. He sends a spy to join her committee.

Lucy is kidnapped. Kusy gets the priest and mayor to act. Kidnappers' wives take matters into their own hands.

A bishop is due to come to Wilkowyje. Even the mayor is excited about his visit.

Kiedy biskup dowozi proboszcza do Wilkowyj, zaskoczony widzi, że wszyscy witają księdza jak bohatera. Wieś schodzi do podziemia. Osoby zagrożone aresztowaniem zostają ukryte, a TV Wilkowyje nadaje szyfrowane komunikaty o policjantach, usiłujących wręczać kolejne wezwania. Ławeczka jest pod wrażeniem wyczynu księdza. Późną nocą ekipa bohaterów wyrusza traktorem do Radzynia, aby uwolnić Lucy.

Lucy wants to take up teaching in a local school. Headmaster's enthusiasm about an actual American working for her clashes with mayor's strict opposition.

Priest's initiative

A European Union delegation visits Wilkowyje. Due to certain circumstances, the priest will replace the mayor.

Priest and mayor's birthday comes up. Wilkowyje is about to divide between the two parties, but Lucy comes up with an idea to reconcile.

It follows the story of Lucy Wilska, a Polish-American who has inherited her grandmother's country home in the fictional small town of Wilkowyje. She arrives in Wilkowyje intent on selling the cottage but, after seeing the charm of the village, decides to stay.
