Reggie coaches him tirelessly, even during the weekend, but is deeply disappointed.

When Reggie decides to bite the bullet and ask to be reinstated he finds that Chris has been sacked and he has been made the new managing director.

He is so busy working on this he neglects Nicola and when he tries to make up for it with a birthday surprise,he ends up getting the surprise as he finds her in bed with David.

Reggie is not certain if he even wants to stay in the country and,after Nicola has gone,packs a case.

William,desperate to avoid matrimony,tries a feeble ploy to persuade Marion that he is gay,though it fails to work.
