Jan-Gustav and Keagan, spot someone or something hiding in the reeds by the river. Soon after, a child disappears without a trace.

The town is in turmoil: the serial killer of the time has now been buried; Frikkie's disappearance cannot be his work. Detectives from Johannesburg are called and Ian Vos goes home.

The tape recording is located and S'bu and Deon rush to PE with it. Sonja is chased away from the station when she offers her help. Esti and Jan-Gustav try to lure the beast out of its hiding place.

The town reads the Gazette front page and is swept up in panic and fear. Gert warns Werner that the police again suspect Piet Pille, the mechanic who sells drugs - Esti's father.

Keagan realizes the beast is a high school boy named Basjan, who is behaving strangely. Mrs Dominee is trying to turn Esti into a "beautiful" little girl. The children want to find out more about Basjan.

The children realize that Basjan's life is in danger and hide him in the village, in an empty bus wreck. Basjan stares at the house across the scrap yard – a memory stirs when he sees Ian.

The town reacts to the national news report about Frikkie. It's Jan-Gustav's birthday. Ian sees the 13 on the cake and realizes that Lara jumped into bed with Junior immediately after he left.

The town is amazed at the miracle that Frikkie is still alive. S'bu determines that the sound in the background of the flute recording is a shell chime. Keagan tries to tell his father about Basjan.

The town is celebrating. Werner puts pressure on Gert to dispose of LG in the holding cell. Angelique has drunken grief in the hotel bar, where Adam is waiting for Keagen.

Jan-Gustav finds out who his biological father is and takes the road. De Wet and Sonja find out that Lourens was innocent. The town is bewildered as the megaphone echoes: the bell rule applies again.

Lara tells Junior she can't live a lie anymore. She wants a divorce. Werner and Angelique find out that Junior is not Jan-Gustav's father. Through all the consternation, Jan-Gustav is tracked down.

Benny looks down from the top of the mountain and sees where Immelman is driving. Immelman drags Keagan into a dilapidated building and chains him. Drunk Gert wants to put an end to everything, but misses.

More shots are fired. Immelman is hit, but drags Benny away. De Wet sees Ian on the ground and rushes into the building through the flames. Keagan is saved.

After a car accident leaves Adam Prinsloo in a months-long coma, he wakes up with no memory of what happened that day.

Six months later, Adam is physically healthy, but he is becoming more and more convinced that the medication he is given for headaches is holding him back mentally.

Grandma Sannie reveals what she saw the night of the accident and Adam realizes that there is a mastermind who orchestrated the events leading up to the accident behind the scenes.

A young woman must seek refuge at the only place where she will be safe. She begins to confess to what she was a part of three years ago. Meanwhile, Adam gets a tidal wave of memories.

Adam relives the fateful events of the past, while the conspirators prepare to wipe out the witnesses. The young woman has evidence of the crime, but she must risk her life.

Adam discovers the last piece of the puzzle - he remembers everything with a heartbreaking realization. He must then stop the hunt and there is only one way to do it.

Therese is pressured by the school to give a birth certificate for Adri. This leads to an unfolding of events when Xander informs Adri that she may not be Therese's legitimate child.

Therese cannot prove that she adopted Adri and is arrested. Adri blames Xander for everything. Adri's blood family is traced and she agrees to meet her uncle Daniel and his wife.
