Sensitive loner Rex (Zaijian Jaranilla) feels neglected by his mother in favor of his siblings. A humiliating experience at the prom reinforces his outcast status in school. A budding romance with his school crush Lindsay (Alyanna Angeles) ends in heartbreak. Beset with one disappointment after another, Rex makes a drastic decision.

Rex’s parents mount a frantic search for their missing son, which later ends in a heartbreaking discovery. As each of his loved ones confront their guilt, signs of Rex's presence begin to manifest. Meanwhile, neighborhood computer shop operator Mommy Sugar (Iyah Mina) executes a plan on Rex’s mother, Annie (Tart Carlos).

Annie (Tart Carlos) revisits her memories of Rex (Zaijan Jaranilla) as she celebrates Mother’s Day all by herself. Unknown to her, Rod (Raul Montesa) and their children are preparing a surprise.
