Hardin is a hired killer for Frank Loper, until Beaudreaux manages to stop him in his tracks. The D.A. tries to make a deal with Hardin in exchange for his testimony against Loper, and assigns Beaudreaux to protect him. Adam enlists the help of his friend Ted Willis to help him find Grady Jameson, a young boy who saved his life many years ago. He thinks he's finally on the right track when Hardin escapes.

Legacy (1)

Adam gets Grady a job at Malloy's, and soon learns that Grady tracked him down because he was looking for Hardin...Hardin told the VietCong that his parents were CIA agents, which is how they ended up dead. Grady then disappears, and not only are Adam and Teddy looking for him, so is Hardin. Adam shows up at Chan's dojo and patches things up with Grady just in time for Hardin to show up. Grady's hopes of getting vengeance are squashed when (after managing to live through an explosing car), Hardin is run down by another car.

Legacy (2)

Grady gets into a car accident with a member of the K Street Boys, and Luis Parades takes it upon himself to go after Beaudreaux' car, but Grady stops him with an impressive array of martial arts.

Loyalties

Grady's new girlfriend Jennifer begins to believe that the son she gave up for adoption years ago is being abused by his parents. Grady gets involved because of his own memories of being abused as a child, and the two save the child from an abusive parent...but not the one they thought it was.

Kid Stuff

When Victoria gets rapist Jack Walker off, he shows his gratitude by stalking her. She asks Grady and Adam for help, and Grady almost gets the police department sued when he takes matters into his own hands.

Tables Turned

When Chase and then Traynor end up dead, the police put Adam in protective custody, believing the Shadow Dragons are behind it all. Teddy and Grady lead Adam to Old Kim, and Grady and Adam make it clear to Old Kim that if he doesn't leave Adam alone, his life of crime is over.

Shadows

Grady rescues a beautiful young woman from the New Dutch Indies when he realises that her 'caretakers' are abusing her. When her caretakers charge her with stealing, Adam needs to find her and Grady to keep them safe.

Sanctuary

When young Asian women are being murdered, Adam believes that it is the work of one of the newer members of the Vietnam Veterans group, and has to fight not only to find a killer, but also to keep his friendship with Teddy.

The Group

When a young robbery suspect dies in a friendly fire incident, fellow cop James Halloran claims Adam fired the bullet that killed him, and Adam has to prove not only his innocent, but also Halloran's guilt.

Friendly Fire

Malloy's friend Lisa is being abused by her husband, but is relucant to leave him. When Adam taunts Doug in a bar ('you don't have the guts to do this to a man', etc), Doug claims Adam assaulted him.

Self Defense

Malloy's brother comes to town looking forward to a birthday celebration, but is beaten to death by a group of young hoods just because he is gay.

Bashing

Grady is upset when Adam takes custody of Miguel Mendez, considering Miguel tried to kill him. When Miguel's best friend Luis is shot and killed, Grady, Adam, and Willis all have to talk him out of taking the law into his own hands.

Homecoming

Miguel's mother comes to Adam seeking sanctuary for herself and her younger son, Fernando, prompting Miguel to seek sanctuary at Grady's, because his memories of his childhood aren't good. It turns out that a local criminal is after Carmen.

Parenthood

Adam falls in love with his new partner, Lynn, but learns that she isn't quite what she seems when she starts asking a lot of questions, not only about Adam, but about Dennis Malloy as well.

Partner In Crime

When two masked men rob Malloy's, Adam soon grows suspicious of former armed robber Emmett Wilson, who now runs the security firm everyone is rushing to hire.

Protectors

Grady meets pop star Gabrielle in a shop and foils an attempted robbery.  Gabrielle hires him to be one of her bodyguards.  Adam tells Grady he doesn't trust her and not to get involved, but Grady doesn't listen.  After Grady has left to tour with her, Adam is assigned to investigate her for money laundering.

Backbeat

Grady gets himself arrested to help his old friend, Gary, after he ends up in jail, having been arrested for armed robbery.

Debt Of Honor

Teddy has been using Old Kim's help in sneaking Vietnamese immigrants into the country, not realising he was using them to smuggle in heroin until Old Kim frames him for drug trafficking.

Bad Choices

When Malloy witnesses a mob killing, she is reluctant to testify, because she knows that if she does, her life as she knows it will never be the same.

Eye Witness

Charlie is having a hard time of it, especially once his wife leaves him. Everyone is pressuring him to take stress leave, but it's not until after he loses his cool on the job that he is forced to take some time off...even though he insists on being kept informed of what's going on around him.

The Long Way Home

Adam's former partner shows up, now working as a skip tracer. She takes the case of a man trying to regain custody of his daughter, who just happens to live with friends of Adam's.

Catcher

When a woman named Lan comes looking for Adam's help in finding her missing husband, Adam refuses at first, because she reminds him of a former love, Mei. Adam finally agrees to help her, and offers Old Kim a truce of sorts.

Missing

After being shot by a Shadow Dragon, Adam lays comatose in a hospital bed, dreaming that he is on trial for the unjustified death of Michael Sunks, the man he and Dennis were chasing when Dennis died.

Death Warmed Over

Grady is pulled back into an underground world of no holds barred, to the death martial arts fighting when two of his students find themselves in the competition, and in over their heads.  Beaudreaux is investigating a string of bodies with broken necks, and the trail leads straight to the Circle of Death.

Circle Of Death

When Schuham dies in an alley shoot-out, Kelsey is devastated, as they'd only recently begun a relationship. She is quick to pin the crime on Damon Moore, but Adam and Grady believe that there is more to it than that.

Cross Fire

A prisoner accuses Adam of taking bribes, and the ensuing investigation uncovers evidence that Adam's old partner, Dennis Malloy, may have been on the take. Adam is reluctant to believe it, but he can't ignore the evidence.

Feet Of Clay

Adam is trying to handle a hostage negotiation situation when he is introduced to his new partner, Eric Rothman. Initially Adam resents Rothman, because he believes his father bought him a place on the force, but changes his mind when he watches Rothman walk away. Any doubts he had left disappear when he realises that Rothman's got demons of his own...his sister was brutally raped and attacked months earlier, and has never come out of her coma.

Each One, Teach One

Malloy is shocked to learn that her former sweetheart, Billy, is in town, and while she is saddened to learn of his wife's death, it opens the door for a relationship between the two of them. The only problem is that Billy is widely suspected of having caused his first wife's death, and there are some pretty bad people after him.

Country Justice

Grady saw Thomas Hardin, the man who killed his parents, alive. And when he tells Beaudreaux, Beaudreaux tells him that Hardin is dead, and they saw him die remember. However, Beaudreaux was lying it seems that Hardin didn't die but was in a coma and Beaudreaux chose not to tell Grady about this. But what Beaudreaux doesn't know is that Hardin regained consciousness and has been walking around, and has accepted a job. Grady finds out who he is working for, and he and Beaudreaux get Hardin and this time he is dead.

Back From The Dead Again

After Adam accidentally shoots the son of a terrorist, he returns the 'favor' by shooting Malloy. Even though Malloy is under house arrest, Grady and Miguel manage to get word to him that Malloy is dead, and the three of them go after Nidar.

Innocent Blood

Formerly a famous photojournalist, Jack Faulkner is looking to redeem himself by catching the city's latest villian, a man who murders nurses. Grady is enthralled with the man who claims to have known his parents, and ignores Adam's warnings to stay away.

Angel Of Death

When Miguel saves an old man from being beaten to death, Adam is shocked to realise it's his former foster father. He hasn't seen Joe or Catherine Johnson since he was ten years old and he was taken away from them. Unfortunately, Joe is in the throes of Alzheimer's, and is unable to help Adam learn about is past, and also unable to help capture the men who beat him.

Remember Me

When a pizza clerk is shot in a white neighborhood and Willis is spotted trying to capture, the culprit, some local teens assume Willis was the killer because he was black, and this creates a race war between Willis' Youth Rescue group and the teenagers.

Black Or Blue

Adam is thrilled when his old army buddy Doc Nash comes to town, until he realises that Doc is dying from exposure to an defoliant named Apple 66. Adam promises Doc that he will expose AlterChem for what they're doing.

Bitter Fruit

Young Joey is the sole witness to a drug-related mother, so his mother, Jennifer, turns to her ex-boyfriend Grady for help.

A Sense Of Duty

A cop's crush on Malloy turns into a deadly obsession.

Grady is arrested for a 10-year-old murder he faked to collect a bounty.

Honor And Trust

A young man is arrested for killing a cop (John), and Beaudreaux is the only witness to the crime. Realising that Beaudreaux's silence will free his brother, Joe (Kim Coates) kidnaps Malloy, vowing to kill her if Beaudreaux testifies.
