A murder in connection with illegal art trading leads - shortly after the fall of the Wall - to the first East-West contacts in the field of crime. Schimanski and Thanner investigate together with their popular colleagues Fuchs and Grawe from East Berlin: paintings owned by the GDR, which were extorted from museums and private individuals in the course of obtaining foreign currency, were put aside by former Stasi employees after the fall of the Wall and are now to be sold to the West via the old channels. The police suspect the Düsseldorf-based art dealer Schrader to be the key figure.

Having just arrived by plane from Istanbul, Kressin is waiting at the baggage carousel, keeping an eye on the charming Asian woman Lyn, who was sitting next to him on the plane. Instead of his suitcase, a corpse is wheeled up, and Lyn has suddenly disappeared. Since 350,000 marks were found on the dead man, Kressin searches for the murderer in the smuggling world and stumbles upon two chess pieces that cause a stir.

After the death of his colleague Grosz, Thorsten Falke is taking a break in the remote St. Joseph monastery when the parish pastor dies in a fire. Child pornography material is found in his estate, which confirms Falke and his colleague Eve Pötter's suspicion that the fire may have been set intentionally.

A young delivery cyclist is run over by a car on a side street in Berlin. The traffic accident quickly turns out to be a murder. Susanne Bonard and Robert Karow search for clues among the victim's acquaintances. Little by little, Bonard and Karow uncover a larger plan. But who are the masterminds, and is the deceased's grieving lover involved?

In Dortmund, several men are murdered in the red-light district – initially, it appears to be a power struggle. However, a deeper motive quickly emerges: the victims have false identities and are implicated in war crimes during the Yugoslav Wars. Detective Inspector Ira Klasnić reaches her emotional breaking point when repressed memories resurface and the State Criminal Police Office (LKA), led by Daniel Kossik, becomes involved.

Everything indicates that the young police officer Rebecca Kästner committed suicide in her apartment the evening before: drugs, custody dispute, excessive demands. But when Karow finds her four-year-old son Matti frightened in the garden, he begins to have doubts about the suicide. What mother does that in front of her child? Then the last call from the dead person was to an unusual number: Susanne Bonard, a former LKA figure who now teaches at the police academy. She is a luminary whose standard work everyone knows. Before Karow knows it, she is at his side to investigate this case. Back on the road at 62?

During the investigation into Rebecca's death, the detectives also come across connections to the right-wing scene, which Bonard quickly suspects is a large right-wing network. Karow thinks that's paranoid. Until he discovers with her that they are actually faced with larger connections than initially thought...

Nothing but the truth (1)

A dead man died in his house from multiple stab wounds, but there are no signs of break-in or evidence of robbery. Initial investigations also lead nowhere until Karow comes across a hidden door in the house. What the two inspectors find there takes their breath away.  Bonard and Karow immerse themselves in the Vietnamese world of Berlin. You meet the veterinarian Dr. Lê Müller from Charlottenburg. Müller knows the dead man from before and knows more than she lets on, but she doesn't trust the police. The LKA officer Pham Thi Mai puts Bonard and Karow on the trail of a young Vietnamese woman - is she the woman they are looking for? The investigation leads Karow to a pagoda in Lichtenberg, where the souls of the ancestors have their place. However, the community's cultural center is under acute threat of demolition. This hits a sore spot for Karow. In order to solve the challenging case, Bonard and Karow also have to grow together emotionally as a team.

Sebastian Bootz is among the guests at a film premiere in Stuttgart when the screen suddenly goes black and a man and a woman threaten the audience with guns. Panic breaks out, several people manage to flee, shots are fired - and a security guard lies dead on the ground. When Sebastian Bootz grabs his gun to stop the hostage takers, he is threatened and shoots the man. But the perpetrators are not deterred. Bootz is disarmed and, along with the remaining guests, becomes hostage of the two unknown men. Because he managed to contact Thorsten Lannert unnoticed, he is one of the first to start work in the operations center. He and the members of the crisis team are working feverishly to find out who the hostage takers are, how they can be stopped and further deaths prevented. Much depends on the cooperation between the two inspectors and this must now prove itself from a distance.

A confused, 16-year-old girl is found in Dresden at night with a blood-stained scalpel. She reports that her father has kept her and her sister Jana imprisoned in a cellar for life, and that Jana is still there. Detective Winkler believes the traumatized teenager, while Schnabel has his doubts. Investigations and forensic examinations uncover evidence of family bloodstains – and suddenly Amanda herself is under suspicion of murder.

During a traffic check on a country road, shots are fired in broad daylight - one police officer dies, a second is critically injured. Instead of helping their colleagues, two policewomen flee from the exchange of fire. Dresden police officers Winkler, Gorniak and their boss Schnabel take over the investigation. Under pressure, they coordinate a large-scale search for the perpetrator, who is able to go into hiding.

To mark the 30th anniversary of Tatort, there was to be a special anniversary crime thriller with this episode. The Cologne detectives Ballauf and Schenk investigate together with their East German colleagues Ehrlicher and Kain. The four have to solve two murders.

Quartet in Leipzig

Prof. Karl-Friedrich Boerne is on his way home when he witnesses an old man being ruthlessly run over by a car. When Boerne rushes to the dying victim's aid, he is almost run over himself. The invention of the wheel

Commissioner Murot suffers from the psychological strain of his job and undergoes a novel therapy: with the help of a machine, he can experience his own psyche as a walkable landscape. Meanwhile, single mother Eva Hütter flees with her son Benjamin after facing the loss of custody in court. She hides with the child in a cabin in the woods, but falls into a coma after an accident. Benjamin remains missing. With all leads gone, Murot embarks on a risky experiment: he connects with Eva's consciousness to find clues to the child's whereabouts while she is in a coma. The search becomes a journey through Eva's mind—and to the limits of Murot's own psyche. Ultimately, his colleague Wächter must also intervene in the case to save them both.

In Dortmund's Westpark, Jan Pawlak and Rosa Herzog stand in front of a large pool of blood, but there is no body. However, Andreas Richter, the head of a Dortmund real estate company, is missing. His business model has made him a number of opponents in Dortmund in recent years: he buys up properties in the Kreuzviertel and transforms shared apartments into sought-after luxury properties. In his personal life, he is currently divorcing his wife Natalia. She doesn't leave her husband in good stead either.

While Inspector Peter Faber has not yet come to terms with the death of his colleague Martina Bönisch, is on sick leave and is more or less living in his old Manta, Jan and Rosa come across Faber's father Josef. He and Faber apparently haven't had any contact for decades. What happened between father and son and what does Josef Faber have to do with the case?

Schimanski seeks relaxation on the soccer field. And there, a man is beaten to death, apparently the victim of the increasingly brutal brawls between soccer fans. Is the dead man really the victim of the fans, or did he have something to do with the illegal recruitment of foreign workers, or did he perhaps want to monetize his knowledge and was therefore eliminated?

After an autumn storm, a skeletonized body is found under an uprooted oak tree. As Borowski suspects very quickly, it is the remains of his first friend Susanne. When Borowski was 16, he wanted to hitchhike Fehmarn with her for the legendary Jimi Hendrix appearance. After an argument, however, Susanne disappeared without a trace. Borowski had tried restlessly to clear up the disappearance. What was a grim assumption at the time is now suddenly bitter certainty when the forensic medicine Kroll unambiguously identifies the body. More resolutely than ever and without consultation with his colleagues, Borowski is pursuing the unexpected opportunity to face the perpetrator at the time after all these years. When Mila Sahin sees through this,she is shaken by the tragic fate of her colleague and initially covers him. In his apartment they find large amounts of cash and documents that point to the systematic blackmail of well-known personalities. Did Peer Schwarz have to die at the hands of one of his own blackmail victims? A trail also leads Ballauf and Schenk to the popular former pop singer Mariella Rosanelli, who now runs a youth center. During the investigation, an argument breaks out between Ballauf and Schenk. Freddy accuses Max of not really paying attention. He isn't either, because Nicola Koch has recently won Max Ballauf's heart. Just another short affair, as Schenk suspects, or will Max Ballauf finally settle down? When Ballauf realizes that there could be a possible connection between his private happiness and the current case, his newfound work-love balance becomes a tightrope walk for him...

Hagen von Strelow is on a flight from South America to Frankfurt am Main. He is a wanted war criminal who is to be put on trial (belatedly) in Germany. Inspector Murot and his assistant Wächter are waiting for him there. Murot had been on his trail 30 years ago, but Hagen von Strelow managed to escape at the last moment. In 1944, von Strelow and Inspector Rother took part in a murder investigation in a small village. A British pilot who was in possession of explosive documents that were crucial to the war was murdered. During the course of the investigation, it turns out that the war-weary investigator Rother is doing everything he can to ensure that the documents do not fall into the hands of the Nazis, and is also protecting the Jew Else Weiß, who is in hiding in the village. With fatal consequences?
