Tom, Annie & Paul try to get ideas of how to celebrate their parents wedding anniversary. Annie reads in the paper that former rock star Chops Dorfman is appearing in town to shoot a movie. Paul gets the idea to get Chops to perform since he was a famous rocker in his parents days. Paul visits Chops @ the hotel he's staying. He spots him & hides in the limo. When Chops discovers him, he stops the limo while Paul explains everything. Paul also hires a garage band (Jake & The Pharos) to play for the anniversary as well. But the band's instruments get repossessed. When Tom makes instruments out of everyday objects, the band bails out just as Mom & Dad arrive. Just as things look bleak, the doorbell rings & Paul's surprised that it's Chops Dorfman himself. He plays the guitar & sings a tune while the kids back him up on junk instruments.
