Julian Norton treats a much-loved moggie with a badly swollen eye before being called out to help a ewe deliver twin lambs. Back at the surgery, his Herriot-trained partner Peter Wright needs a strong stomach to deal woth a bull terrier with terrible halitosis.

Julian risks life and limb to inject a ferocious pig, stud alpaca Lothario fails to live up to his namesake's reputation, Peter examines elderly clients Steve and Jeanie Green's dairy herd, but will he have good or bad news for them?

Julian is called out to a late-night emergency to help a cow that is struggling to deliver a large calf, while a Bernese mountain puppy delivered by cesarean section is brought in to be seen by Peter. Ruth and nurse Katy perform delicate and intricate surgery on a poorly chicken to try and save her life, and Labrador owner Steve is worried about his elderly dog's constant pain and failing eyesight.

Episode 3

Julian Norton is called out to an emergency on the farm of semi-retired farmers the Peckitts where a cow is suffering from a painful and potentially life-threatening condition. Peter Wright has a lively lamb to deal with.

Episode 4

At a local petting zoo Julian comes up against a difficult patient - an angry goat with a suspected broken leg. Peter and Julian take an afternoon off to visit the annual Great Yorkshire Show.

Episode 5

Julian performs emergency surgery on the pet cat of staff member Molly, which appears to have been shot in the head. An exotic bird of prey, a sheepdog run over by a tractor and an injured tortoise also feature.

Episode 6

Julian Norton, Peter Wright and their staff deal with more animal emergencies including a dog facing an emergency operation to remove a tumour and a prolapsing sheep that has to be treated on the car park.

Julian and head nurse Sarah tend to an injured swan at a fishing lake. Meanwhile, Bobby (a canine member of the North Yorkshire police force) is brought in to the surgery to have an operation.

Julian Norton has to get to grips with castrating alpacas, while Peter Wright attempts to perform a life-changing operation on a dearly loved pug dog that is having breathing difficulties.

Julian takes some bullocks by the horns, a dog needs an emergency operation to remove a bone in its oesophagus, Peter braces himself to treat a feisty ferret, a ram cannot walk after too much mating and the Greens are concerned about their rescue donkey.

Julian answers an emergency call-out to a herd of Alpacas, Peter tries to save the eyesight of a two-day-old lamb, Helen performs an emergency caesarean on a beagle, and seven-year-old Ben brings in his bunnies Hip and Hop to see Peter for a manicure.

Julian Norton returns to Jacki Barlow's alpaca farm to investigate a worrying lump in the mouth of one of her animals, and having recently put another of the alpacas to sleep due to a cancerous growth, the vet fears the worst. Meanwhile, Peter Wright carries out dental surgery on a Yorkshire terrier with a diva-like personality, and Julian tries to get to the bottom of a pygmy goat's skin problem.

Julian Norton and his practice partner Peter Wright have to cope with night-time emergencies, as Julian performs outdoor surgery on a first-time mum and Peter examines a cat with a potentially life-threatening condition. Newly qualified vet Esme Telfer performs her first emergency caesarian at the Skeldale practice, while at Green's farm Treacle the calf falls ill and it is touch-and-go whether she will survive. Later, a pack of bloodhound pups causes chaos in the surgery.

Episode 7

Julian Norton gets a 5am emergency call about a horse with colic, and one of the Skeldale nurses helps out at a local farm during lambing season. Plus, Truffles the guinea pig has a huge lump on her face, and Harvey the randy rabbit is out of control, as is Billy the dog's backside.

Episode 8

Julian Norton is called out to help a pregnant cow that is struggling to give birth to its calf. When it becomes clear the lives of both animals may be in jeopardy, Julian is forced to consider performing an emergency caesarean. Meanwhile, Peter Wright comes to the aid of Lofty, a horse in need of some dental work, and a concerned caller reports a duck with an unusual injury.

Episode 9

The staff of Skeldale Veterinary Centre tend to a poodle with a problem penis, a rabbit with a tooth abscess, an over-amorous donkey and a cow with a large wound to her neck. Later, as the day's work begins to wind down, the vets prepare to say goodbye to Sarah, who is leaving to have a baby.

Episode 10

Julian Norton receives an emergency call from alpaca breeder Jackie, whose prize-winning female Cinderella is pregnant and struggling with a difficult labour. Back at the practice, Peter Wright is dealing with Larry the chinchilla, who is responsible for a population explosion and needs to be castrated, while Dougie the petulant parrot is due for a beak and nail trim.

Julian receives a late-night emergency call to help a cow give birth, but the delivery is more complicated than expected, with the mother and calf's lives hanging in the balance. Alfie the blind labrador is brought to Skeldale following an unusual baking incident, having swallowed a spatula while trying to steal some food.

Julian is called to a heifer in agony with an object embedded in her painful, swollen and infected foot, while Peter removes a huge lump from Holly the golden retriever's head. Meanwhile, two of Skeldale's favourite clients, farmers Steve and Jeanie, are concerned about their cat Spitfire, who has not been his usual feisty self.

Julian faces the difficult task of castrating a group of alpacas, whose owner Colin has been using his own holistic techniques to soothe the animals. Peter tends to a Yorkshire terrier belonging to a regular visitor to the surgery, and the team treats a stray cat with a broken leg.

Julian decides to conduct a fertility test on an unproductive ram and Peter tends to a spaniel that will require major surgery after being hit by a car. Julian also heads to Thirsk where a vicious fight has taken place between two rival terrapins, leaving one missing an entire toe.

Julian Norton tries to save Millie, a much-loved farm dog and an albino wallaby called Albert, while Charlie, a cheeky pygmy goat, gives Peter Wright the runaround. Other patients include Monster, the spiky hedgehog, and Nykee, an alpaca who needs help to become a mum.

The vets treat a horse with infected hooves, a cat struggling to give birth and an angry monitor lizard. They also take time out to visit the Great Yorkshire Show.

Julian is called out to a suspected case of foot-and-mouth. Other patients include a Great Dane with cancer, a ram that needs castrating, a rat with a suspicious lump and a rare breed of pig that needs inseminating.

Julian treats a calf with a large and worrying lump, two pygmy goats face castration at the surgery, and after chasing after a badly behaved sheep, Peter flies like a bird.

Julian is woken by an emergency call in the middle of the night, Moobaloo the heifer has been struggling in labour but there is no sign of the calf. And tiny Teeny, a seven-day-old Shetland foal, is rushed in to see vet Helen.

A badly injured llama has smashed his jaw and lost several teeth. The Greens have taken in a stray cat who needs a health check. New mother Butterfly's calving caused a potentially deadly prolapse. Ella is in agonising labour to birth her puppies.

Julian is called out to a desperately ill calf. Peter treats an elderly cat with severe constipation. Other patients include a young, wild stag trapped by its antlers, a dog with a dislocated leg, a postnatal cow and five noisy, young goats whose horn buds need removing.

Semi-feral cat Pretty Tom has a suspicious-looking lump on his face, Vera the prized Zwartbles ewe needs help giving birth, Obi Wan the doberman is lame and in pain, a young donkey needs to be stopped from sexually harassing his dad, and a hyperactive Russian hamster needs surgery.

Julian Norton has a large lump to remove from between a Highland cow's horns, then must find out why an event horse has broken out in lumps from head to hoof. Meanwhile, Peter helps a first-time mum deliver her lambs and treats a micro-pig who has outgrown his house and is under the weather.

Julian is called out to a poorly three-day-old calf who has collapsed, before turning his attention to Elsie - a piggy who needs a pedicure. And unlucky terrier Holly is brought into the surgery after falling off a bed and fracturing her leg in two places.

Julian gets dragged around a barn by one-ton bull Merchant, and operates on police dog Thor. Peter helps a baby goat open its eyes and fixes a cat with loose teeth.

Peter tries to save the life of a cow whose uterus prolapsed while calving. Julian must remove the sharp and dangerous tusks from an unco-operative 300kg boar. Thirteen smelly ferrets causechaos, Zoe reunites a stray dog with her extremely surprised owner, and Obi the Doberman vomits up a pair of scissors.

Young working dog Ted has fallen ill after running through a field of barley. His owner Amy rushes him down to the practice at nearly midnight, and Julian fears that Ted has inhaled some grain into his lungs, which could put his life in danger.

Peter Wright and veterinary partner Julian Norton help participants get their livestock into peak condition as clients prepare for the Great Yorkshire Show. Alan and Anne Turnbull seek help after one of their prize-winning show heifers has developed large unsightly warts. Meanwhile, farmer Martin Jackson is doing all he can to bag a prize, preferably the coveted red rosette for first place.

Julian and Peter rush to help a ewe that is struggling to give birth and, while there, realise there is another expectant sheep that also needs urgent help. At the practice, Peter has a visit from old pal Benji the border terrier, who despite being as lively as ever has been vomiting, while a newborn calf has a life-threatening hernia.

Griff the terrier has swallowed a tennis ball - is it safe to leave it there? Wendy the wallaby is under the weather, but Peter has trouble catching the crafty critter. Lawrence the bull's fertility is in question.

Julian Norton receives an emergency call and dashes to the scene of a freak accident involving a sheep. At Boroughbridge, he meets elderly cat who could need life-saving surgery. In Thirsk, Peter Wright meets a badly injured tawny owl who has been brought in by a worried member of the public.

Julian Norton must castrate Big Dillon, the largest ferret he has ever seen. Peter Wright treats Mary the badly injured black swan, and must save a sheep who has prolapsed after giving birth.

Julian Norton meets Toby the tortoise, who has lost his appetite after coming out of hibernation. Peter Wright must choose whether to save a young ewe or her lamb, and deal with a castrated horse who refuses to wake up.

A mum-to-be is struggling to give birth to her very large calf, and Julian Norton needs to perform an emergency caesarean - but things do not go according to plan and he drafts in some help from another vet, Candela. Meanwhile, at Skeldale, Peter Wright is dealing with another emergency, as Adele's beloved rabbit Calamity has become accidentally trapped under her bed for over an hour.

Much-loved labrador Murphy is brought in by his doting owner, suffering with a tumour that another vet has declined to remove. Julian Norton assesses the situation to determine whether it is possible to humanely preserve the canine's life. Out in the Yorkshire Dales, Julian visits Bolly the llama, who has a worrying eye problem. Owner Suzanne wants to relieve his pain and discomfort as soon as possible, as his trekking career could be in jeopardy. Later, Peter Wright rushes to assist racing horse Magnum, after the treasured animal is involved in an accident.

Julian rushes to the aid of a mum-to-be whose baby is breech. Peter tries to remove two suspicious lumps from pet pooch Scruff. Plus, Smartie the pony has a potentially life-threatening blockage, and a baby alpaca needs help to walk again.

Pampered papillon Belle is out of sorts, and the only way Julian Norton can determine the problem is to open her up. Snakee the corn snake has an unusual lump and a hostile look in his eye, leading Peter Wright to err on the side of caution. Candela pays Shetland pony Sparkle a visit, as her teeth need looking at.

Peter is called out to help a ewe whose labour is worsening. Julian has 50 little goats to disbud, but Doris the kid is playing hide and seek. Border terrier cross Poppy has bone cancer in one of her hind legs, and the only hope of saving her is to remove the limb.

In a varied caseload, the vets treat a rapidly deteriorating cow, a cocker spaniel in labour, a hen with diarrhoea and a jammed food pipe, a lamb with an injured leg, a ferret with a suspicious lump, a calf foaming at the mouth and a swarm of bees.

Episode 11

Peter is mystified by the contents of Khufu the cat's stomach, and must administer anti-mite spray to one of the biggest eagles in the world. Julian helps Millie the Shetland pony with her placenta, and tries his hand at dentistry for Audrey the alpaca.

Episode 12

Yorkshire Vet stars Peter Wright and Julian Norton take a break from their busy practices to visit some country fairs. At the Great Yorkshire Show, two of Peter and Julian's clients talk about their feelings as they enter their top specimens in the cattle and sheep categories. Julian judges a dog show in Dunsforth, and Peter's wife Lin enters a cake competition at the local Barrowby show.

Episode 13

Dog owner Louise brings her poorly westie Duffy to Boroughbridge where, assisted by his wife and colleague Anne, Julian Norton faces one of his most challenging surgeries. Elsewhere, Peter races to an emergency lambing. Farmer Phil's ewe is expecting triplets, but has been unable to deliver two of them due to complications. Peter has to administer mouth-to-mouth resuscitation once the lambs are born, but will it be enough?0

Peter Wright reflects on a much loved farming couple, Jean and Steve Green. They were married 40 years ago and are looking forward to their anniversary vow renewal. Jean is moved to tears when Julian arrives with an anniversary present. Finally, as the big day arrives, the couple prepare to walk down the aisle again

Julian gets the call that all vets fear - a young cow has had a baby and prolapsed her entire uterus. This is a rare and life-threatening situation that is difficult for both vet and animal. Peter meets Jemima, a little duck with a big attitude, then comes face to face with his old friend Snakee, a constipated corn snake whose problems have resurfaced.

Julian is treating a pregnant ewe in distress when another animal on the same farm goes into labour, producing twins - one of which is in breach. Peter tries to find out the cause of a black labrador's mysterious tumour, while Helen has a very unusual patient - a rhea that has damaged a wing during an overenthusiastic start to the mating season.

With his wife and fellow vet Anne, Julian Norton heads out to see old friend Jacki Barlow on her alpaca farm, where one of the residents has a large lump on its foot. Other patients include a Labrador with a taste for gardening gloves, a hermaphrodite dog and a bloated bull.

Julian races to help a horse that has suffered a painful injury. Teal has a large gash on his neck, and owner Lisa has no idea how it happened. Tux is a black Labrador with a nasty-looking mouth tumour. Peter has removed similar lumps from Tux before, but now the cancer has returned, so they are heading for the operating theatre once more.

Peter rushes to an emergency lambing at Rolland Norris' farm. When he arrives, he realises a ewe has prolapsed while trying to give birth. He later meets a goat named Buddy, who has come to the practice in Thirsk to get the dreaded `snip'. It sounds simple, but Peter discovers that Buddy's anatomy is somewhat non-standard in this area, and he will need to operate to complete his task. At Boroughbridge, Julian looks after pampered pug Ffion, who has taken playtime a bit too far and badly broken his leg. Julian needs to screw a plate onto the bones to allow it to heal, but it's a tricky job.

Peter Wright is called out to help a 10-day-old calf that has been rejected by its other, while Julian Norton decides to perform a risky operation on semi-retired sheepdog Mick, who has a tumour wrapped around his spleen.

Julian Norton is called out to see a big bull with the largest abscess he has ever encountered. Julian has to lance and drain it, knowing he is about to unleash a waterfall of smelly, infected pus. Meanwhile Peter Wright is called to an emergency at Debbie's stables - her horse McCoy has a mysterious cut that won't heal.

Julian Norton and Peter Wright face long nights as they help two struggling animals give birth. Dudley the hedgehog is brought in with pneumonia, and Julian attends to school guinea pig, Betty.

Julian must treat a pregnant heifer with a pelvis that may be too small to give birth, while a cat that lost a leg after being run over by a car suffers another injury in a road accident, but this time, no treatment may be possible. A pygmy goat keeps getting its head stuck in a wire fence, a dog needs an operation on its lungs, and farmers the Greens celebrate their anniversary with a trip to Whitby.

Peter treats a ewe that is struggling to give birth to twin lambs, and also performs a complicated and risky surgery on a tawny owl to remove the bird's ruptured eyeball. Julian examines a herd of cows from a breed that is on the endangered species list, a young alpaca has been unable to stand or walk since birth, and a dog lover is left distraught when one of his four-legged friends brutally attacks another.

Peter treats a lamb that was born with a life-threatening cyst full of spinal fluid on its head, which will require delicate and painstaking surgery to safely remove. Julian is called out in the middle of the night to save a cow that has experienced dangerous complications while giving birth, a pig is resistant to being castrated, and a dog swallows a bottle of e-cigarette liquid.

Peter gets an emergency call from sheep farmer Clive, whose ewe has gone into labour, but the lambs are tangled up inside their mother. One arrives safely but the second isn't breathing, and Peter's skills are put to the test when he realises there is a third lamb still to come. In Boroughbridge, Julian and Anne operate on a dog with a tumour in its chest.

Julian treats a lhasa apso with a mouth tumour which other vets have given up on, and comes up with an alternative course of action to save the dog's life. He also locks horns with an aggressive ram that has a sore eye. Over in Thirsk, Peter treats a Shetland pony with a painful foot condition and a cow with a prolapsed uterus.

Peter faces a struggle to save a baby alpaca that was born prematurely during a storm, and Julian performs a delicate eye operation on a labrador preparing for a dog show. A wallaby dies at a local visitor farm, raising concerns that its joey will not survive without its mother's milk and pouch. A newborn lamb suffers a potentially fatal injury, and a rabbit named Boris needs to be castrated if it is to stay in its new home.

A rare cattle breeder fears for the life of his favourite cow, which has been diagnosed with cancer and will need major surgery to have any chance of survival. A rottweiler puppy becomes seriously ill after eating 15 stones, a ram undergoes fertility tests, and a donkey has a problem with one of its legs. Peter operates on Wesley, a greedy terrier that has taken its food obsession too far and eaten an oven glove. Julian makes the difficult decision to remove the eye of Patch the rabbit, but an unexpected lump raises further concerns. Julian is then called out to help a ewe that is struggling to give birth to a large lamb. A makeshift operating theatre is set up in the barn, where he performs an emergency caesarean section, hoping to save both mother and baby.

Julian rushes to an emergency at Jackie's alpaca farm, where a new mum desperately needs his help - but rural North Yorkshire isn't always the best place for driving when time is of the essence, and Julian gets stuck behind not one, but two tractors. There's a glimpse of what lockdown life was like for Steve and Jean, whose daughter Sarah kept a video diary and, with things returning to normal, Peter returns to the Greens' farm, where there's now lots of veterinary work to do.
