The changing face of Christmas in Northern Ireland.

Christmas Special

Richard Dormer

Children, teachers and programme-makers show how education and youth culture has evolved through the decades.

How performers adapted to changing tastes and the Troubles.

How we used to live, from inferior interiors to domestic bliss.

How locals acclimatized to destinations like Toronto, Israel and Iran.

Trawling the stalls, malls and high street stores that served a generation of shoppers.

How, from Lough Erne to the Irish Sea, we have lived, worked and played on and near the water.

Richard Dormer narrates this nostalgic documentary series that delves into the BBC archives to reveal the changing face of life in Northern Ireland.
