From the Stonewall Riots to the passage of marriage equality nationwide, the “Trailblazers Honors” spotlights the pioneers who bravely fought for equality. This year’s special will feature messages of support for Orlando from celebrities and dignitaries, performances dedicated to the innocent lives lost, as well as moving footage from Orlando.

Logo's fourth annual Trailblazer Honors event, previously known as Logo Trailblazer Honors is a one-hour annual event that celebrates leaders at the forefront of LGBTQ equality, will be held at Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in New York City, one of the first religious institutions in New York City to champion the causes of the LGBTQ community. . The 2017 honorees include Cyndi Lauper and the creators of "Will & Grace," Max Mutchnick and David Kohan.

The fifth annual VH1 Trailblazer Honors will celebrate groundbreaking screenwriter, director and producer Ryan Murphy, LGBTQ and civil rights hero, author and activist James Baldwin, the ACLU and social activists Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin. American singer, songwriter and record producer Bebe Rexha is also set to perform.

Aired on International Women's Day, this year's Trailblazer Honors is centered around the past year's breakthroughs in female empowerment, addressing the landmark achievements of this year's honorees.
