Dan is an old-school racer who flew the U.S. flag in Formula One, Indy, and Le Mans. To get Dan's blessing and endorsement, Barry must complete a lot of work and perfect everything to entice the legend to join the project. Barry's daughter Jen, who loves old-school monsters and the raw engineering of early classics, is also interested in the project. Jen is moving away from home and living in her own apartment, marking a turning point in their lives. Barry's mother, Becky, has to say goodbye to her only child, while Barry gets her bedroom back for car stuff. Despite this, they still see each other every day at the shop.
