Zarqa learns on social media that her ex-husband is marrying a white yoga instructor half his age and impulsively comments that she will attend the wedding with her own cliché: a white brain surgeon.

Brian takes Zarqa birding for their second date, when they are interrupted by his very WASPy parents, Ted and Susan, who not-so-secretly still hope Brian will get back with his ex, Carol, from church.

Brian and Zarqa visit the mosque where they meet Zarqa's ex-flame. Making matters worse, Zarqa's mother walks in to find out that not only is Zarqa dating a white man, but she's met his parents.

Zarqa and Brian attend couples therapy at the mosque, where they are unexpectedly joined by her parents, her ex, Hamza, and his fiancée, Bethany - and Hamza reveals the real reason for their divorce.

Carol shows up at Zarqa's house to find out why Brian is attracted to her. While there, she steals some defective henna and blames the disaster on Zarqa in front of Brian. Furious, he dumps Zarqa.

Zarqa attends Hamza's wedding, where Brian, Yusuf, and Hamza all end up fighting for her. Zarqa must choose one suitor to get the fighting to stop, but who?
