Joey and Ross accidentally take a nap together - and much to their dismay, find that they liked it. Phoebe and Rachel compete to become Monica's maid of honor.

Chandler's very curious about a locked closet by the bathroom in their apartment, but Monica won't tell him what is inside. After Phoebe convinces Monica to get a massage from her, she soon finds out that Monica makes sexual noises during the process, which makes Phoebe very uncomfortable. Meanwhile, Rachel feels her baby kick for the first time and Ross is upset when he can't be more involved in Rachel's pregnancy issues.

Chandler's jokey entry on his and Ross's college website leads to a faux burial service for the allegedly dead and obviously unpopular Gellar. Meanwhile, Joey is unwilling to give his favorite stuffed animal, Hugsy, to Emma. And Phoebe asks Monica to help her avoid a post-breakup tryst with Mike.

Ross goes to a spray-on tanning salon but fails to follow the 'simple' instructions. Meanwhile, Joey and Rachel struggle to make the transition from friends to lovers. Also, Monica and Phoebe try to avoid an annoying woman that used to live in their building.

Rachel accidentally breaks Joey's armchair (that he's named Rosita) and while they're out shopping for a new one, it appears that Rosita has magically "healed" herself. Meanwhile, Phoebe takes a temp job as a telemarketer for an office supply company and when her first client turns out to be suicidal, she goes out of her way to talk him out of it. Also, Ross and Monica find out that their parents are selling their childhood home.

When Monica's Porsche shows up again, Ross and Rachel hit the freeway together and it turns out to be an adventurous ride. Meanwhile, Chandler and Monica go off to Vegas to find Chandler's estranged father. And back at home, Joey proves his masculinity to Phoebe.

Phoebe begins dating a guy who works for Monica as a sous-chef, however, they soon find themselves in an awkward position when things don't work out for neither of them. Meanwhile, Ross discovers that a co-worker of Chandler's has been calling him Toby for five years. And Joey sets Rachel up on a date with one of his co-stars, which freaks Ross out when he realizes that this guy might become a step-father of his and Rachel's baby.

Rachel's pediatrician drops her as a client because she calls him incessantly to ask about any insignificant issue concerning Emma, so now she must find a new one, which puts Ross in an awkward situation. Meanwhile, Joey arranges a blind date for Phoebe. Also, as Chandler and Monica are preparing to leave for Tulsa, Monica receives a job offer from a prestige restaurant in Manhattan.

As Eric moves out of their apartment and into one across the courtyard, Alex plants herself up in Joey's room with a pair of binoculars as Eric invites another woman over. After Alex goes to bed, Joey sees Eric kissing the other woman. Meanwhile, Joey's got problems of his own: even though he and Sara are allowed to see other people, he's not because he's too crazy about Sara. Trying to make her jealous, Joey discovers that she likes him as much as he likes her, and they decide not to see other people.

Chandler is peeved when Monica splurges on an expensive pair of boots. Meanwhile, Phoebe learns that Ben and Sting's son attend the same school and she angles to meet the celebrity and get concert tickets. Also, after Joey's sister Dina tells him that she's pregnant, he freaks out and goes to find the father to marry them. Rachel tries to calm him down.

Monica's restaurant gets a bad review in the Post. After confronting the critic who wrote it, she decides to join a cooking class, with Joey in tow. Meanwhile, Rachel gets jealous when Ross hits it off with a woman at the baby department store. And Chandler prepares for a job interview after Phoebe tells him that he makes a bad first impression.

Gavin gives Rachel a very interesting birthday gift while Ross begs Joey to stay away from Emma's hot new nanny. Meanwhile, Mike meets and then accidentally murders Phoebe's unusual pet.

Sookie is forced to babysit Jessica and the romantic inconveniences the teen vampire's presence creates. At the Light of Day leadership conference, Jason makes an impression on its ambitious leaders, Steve and Sarah Newlin. While one of his fellow campers, Amanda Jane with her band, the God Rockets, livens the spirits at camp with their hit single, Jesus Asked Me Out Today. Maryann casts her spell on Merlotte's patrons.

Michael allows a TV crew into the office for a profile on himself, and one of his quotes lands him in hot water with Ashley. In the meantime, Carter goes behind Michael's back to get the Mayor to green-light a controversial project.

Monica is broke and decides to gamble on the stock market, while Chandler and Ross run into a couple of bullies in Central Park. Rachel and Joey help Phoebe locate her father, but a vicious dog prevents Phoebe from finally meeting him.

Sookie embarks on a dangerous mission to locate Godric. Bill is shocked when a vampire from his past resurfaces in Dallas and keeps him hostage. Jason makes some difficult decisions. Andy interrogates Lafayette about his disappearance, Terry intervenes.

Sookie tries to figure out how to fit both Bill and Eric into her life. Lafayette needs Jesus' help to rid him of the spirit that has taken over. Alcide is called upon by Marcus to help render assistance. Opposing ideas bring Bill into direct conflict with Nan. Marnie secretly plans out the strategy for her next step against the vampires in spite of Tara and Holly's apprehension about the outcome.

Sookie turns to Eric for help finding Bill; Andy urges Jason to stay the course; Sam reconnects with his past; Tara seeks refuge from her grief.

Sookie and Lafayette clean up the mess. Bill and Eric have a visit from the Vampire authority. Sam and Alcide come to terms with an angry pack.

One of the barmaids from Merlotte's is murdered and all signs point to Jason as her killer. Also evident is the fact that she had been around vampires, and Sookie knows just where to go to find out who the girl had been with. Bill introduces Sookie to Fangtasia, the biggest vampire bar in Shreveport, and Eric, the oldest vampire in Shreveport. Her search could lead her into territory she never thought she'd cover.

Bill must pay a steep price for protecting Sookie; Jason and Amy break a taboo; Tara consults with Miss Jeanette about exorcising her inner demon; Bill enlists an unlikely bodyguard.

A desperate Bill tries to ferry Warlow away from the faerie plain, but Sookie is having none of it. Meanwhile, Eric arrives at vamp camp, looking to inflict serious human damage. In Bon Temps, friends and family take emotional turns remembering a fallen neighbor. Bill feels the pull of Lilith’s sirens.

Sookie's attempt to rescue Bill has unforseen consequences. Meanwhile, Jason seeks the truth about Crystal. Sam must step in when Tommy gets involved in a dog fighting ring, all thanks to Melinda and Joe Lee's quest for money. Eric figures out how to get the information he wants from Sophie-Anne. Debbie plans to get even with Alcide while Russell ignores the Magister.

Gina's high school friend Donna comes to town, recently separated from her husband. Joey, who has had a huge crush on Donna for years, is happier than ever when they start going out. However, Donna confides in Gina that her husband wants to reconcile, and begs her not to tell Joey. Meanwhile, Michael is startled to discover that he was a great baseball player when he was younger.

Michael substitutes for the Mayor on a political talk show, facing off against Ashley on a hot-button issue. Meanwhile, Paul plays City Hall Santa while battling a terrible bout of the flu that is sweeping the office. And everyone finds themselves going to Carter for romantic advice.
