But it doesn't work, and his father ends up postponing the training. He then runs into Might Guy, his father's mentor and a hero of the Fourth Great Ninja War.

Isshiki regains his true form and goes to the Leaf Village to recapture Kawaki. The Leaf shinobi prepare for his arrival. Boruto is willing to fight, but he becomes frightened at the possibility of losing control of his Karma again.

The final test, this time it's Iwabe vs Wasabi.　The two have a strong competitive spirit and usually clash with each other, but for some reason Iwabae is bewildered by Wasabi's unusual lack of energy. Wasabi, in fact, is feeling overwhelmed by the pressure of representing the hitherto unproven Izuno clan. Iwabeye is angry at Wasabi for setting her own limits on her ability and giving up. ......?　Who will be the victor in this match?

As Sarada and the others hurry to evacuate the people of the island, Boruto grows anxious when he learns they are being threatened by the mobile fortress, which is equipped with a powerful weapon. Kagura, Hebiichigo and Kyoho show up to assist Boruto, Kawaki and Buntan. Together, they do what they can to destroy the weapon to protect their friends, but they are obstructed by Tenma and are forced to fight him.

Boruto's classmate, Metal Lee, is very dilligent and is skilled at taijutsu. Unfortunately, he gets nervous easily and is unable to do his best when people are watching him. One day one of his classmates, Shikadai Nara, says something that enrages Metal, who attacks Shikadai the next day. Caught in the middle, Boruto notices that Metal's chakra is warped, just like Denki's.

Kakou appears to take the former Tsuchikage back to the village, but Boruto confronts him and they fight. Kakou uses a rare and powerful Particle Style and pushes Boruto to the edge. Meanwhile, Shikadai manages to slip through the Akuta guards and heads for the Hidden Leaf to report on the situation in the Hidden Stone.

Despite children being present, Funamushi fights fiercely with disregard for the damage he causes. Meanwhile, Araumi is informed by his eldest son Isari that his adopted son Tenma has died in battle. With his daughter already hovering between life and death, he explodes with rage. He declares that he will be taking full command in the battles to come.

Udon Ise the jonin captain of Team 5, issues a direct order from the Hokage to Iwabe, Denki and Metal, which states: "In order to attract more students to the Ninjutsu Department of the Academy, you will appear in a PR video documentary." During the Byakuya Gang incident, the three were under suspension, and could only watch as their genin classmates leapt into action. The trio decide to do their best in the documentary in order to prove their prowess, but Udon seems skeptical...

Namida from Team 15 uses an earsplitting cry that can temporarily paralyze or knock out an opponent, but she’s unable to fully control this special jutsu. When she panics, the jutsu can affect everyone nearby, even her allies. Worried that she’ll become a hindrance to missions, Namida decides to stop crying to prevent the jutsu from accidentally activating.

Inojin has loved to draw since he was small, and his ninjutsu speciality is the Super Beast Scroll. But one day, he suddenly loses his ability to use his jutsu! Puzzled, he talks to his father, Sai, who uses the same jutsu. Even though Sai is sympathetic, he doesn't give Inojin a way to overcome his slump. Instead he suggests that his son enter into a children's art contest, which Inojin halfheartedly does.
