Red and the group set off on a mission to investigate the elves who live in a forest in the middle of a desert.

Keiichi learns about the yearly murders from Shion, Miyo, and Jiro. At the festival, Shion drags Keiichi away from Rika's dance and the two run into Miyo and Jiro, who are breaking into the ritual tool shed. They decide to go inside to look at it with Miyo.

Inside the sacred shed Keiichi learns about the dark origins of the Hinamizawa village and the Festival. The day after he finds out that Miyo, Jiro, and the village mayor have gone missing.

Rika has suddenly gone missing and Satoko coldly suspects Keiichi, who was the last one to talk with Rika, but Mion says that she saw Rika speaking with some men in construction uniforms. While looking for Rika, Mion pulls Keiichi away from a locked silo and indirectly informs Keiichi that Rika is trying to kill people and that she needs to put an end to string of murders occurring, which is being led by the Three Great Families.

Nine elite members form a new team called Lamplight, and they’re going to pick up where Inferno left off.

Keiichi and his friends attend a game competition at a Sonozaki family owned shop. As a consolation prize for the event money, the store owner gives dolls to everyone except Mion. Keiichi gives his to Mion as he sees no value in keeping it. Later, Keiichi and his father meet at the cosplay restaurant. There, Keiichi meets Shion and confuses her for Mion, due to similar appearances. She proclaims that she is actually Mion's twin sister. Keiichi believes she is Mion pretending to be effeminate.

Otako explains that girls with big boobs also have big areolae. Galko denies it, thinking she's talking about her.

Seeing Otako with feminine pads, Galko asks if she prefer pads over tampons. Otako answers she should be using tampons, but she’s reluctant to put it in there. While the two agrees wholeheartedly, Ojou appears carrying a tampon.

Galko's skin got really dark as a result of tanning. Otako comments that since Galko's skin has tanned so much, her nipples must be dark as well. Along with Ojou, Otako yells that Galko has dark nipples.

Aspiring to become an idol, Ino Sakura moves to Tokyo to live in Mouse House, a dormitory of Rat Productions. Informed of Mouse House's crisis, Ino is told to form an idol group with three "dropout" talents who also live there.

Galko compliments Ojou's pretty hands. Delighted, Ojou compares her hand with Otako's and comments on how small and cute it is. Seeing Galko stare at her own hand, Otako is worried that Galko is concerned about her large hands.

The Class President believes that the size of the boobs and intelligence are inversely proportional, so she thinks Galko is living a very carefree life. But, she changes her mind when she sees the bulletin board Galko was intensely staring at.

Seeing Galko's new lipstick, Otako explains that the lips have always represented the person's genitals. Otako adds that you can also tell the condition of a person's genitals by looking at the shape of their lips, to which Galko inadvertently hides her own lips

Coming back from a break, everyone is recharged and ready for the next mission. Lamplight's been promoted from a provisional team to an actual team.
