Nana recalls the first time she meet the other Nana on the train while traveling to Tokyo.

After Blast returns from their training camp, the band members move into Gaia's boarding house. Reira replies to Shin's email and she and Mari later find Ren asleep in the bath. Takumi meets Nana's family for the first time. Nana starts hyperventilating after Nobu reveals that he has given up on Hachi.

Sawako and Kazehaya go to karaoke with a group of friends. It turns out to be their first true date, and before the night ends, both of them want to make sure they're on the same page. But what do they both want to make clear?

Sawako feels like Kazehaya is keeping his distance. After connecting with Ryu on the trip, Chizu tells her friends about her memories with him.

As both bands rehearse for a TV appearance, Yasu confronts Ren about his drug use and treatment of Nana. Ren later proposes to Nana, followed up by a session of rough sex which excites and terrifies Nana at the same time. Reira and Shin manage to sneak out for some alone time, while Nobu is discouraged when he learns that Miyu is seven years older than him.

Trapnest and Blast make their TV appearances. Hachi admits to Junko that she feels the desire to explain things to Nobu because Shōji never explained his affair with Sachiko to her. The members of Blast play Mah-Jong with their neighbours, Yuri and Miyu. Hachi arranges to meet up with Blast for the fireworks.

Several years in the future, the members of Blast plus Hachi and her daughter Satsuke meet each other again at Room 707 for the fireworks display, but strangely Nana is not present. Back in 2001, Hachi has cold feet about seeing Nobu again so Nana lies and tells her that he won't be present for the fireworks.

The rumor-mongers are outed and confronted when they decide to move against Sawako. Sawako learns who her true friends are.

Kurumi's ultimate plan backfires, as Kazehaya pulls Sawako away in private when he finds her alone with Ryuu. The misunderstanding is cleared up instantly, but the feelings stirring within both Sawako and Kazehaya only get more confusing.

Sawako has conquered the rumors and obstacles that stood between her and the boy she loves. She tells Kurumi what happened, and the two come to an understanding. Kazehaya and Sawako meet up outside of school for a day together, all alone...

After his teacher gives him some advice, Kazehaya finally talks to Sawako on their way home. The next day, everyone gathers at Sawako's house.

A mysterious actress named Miyu gives Nobu directions on how to help Nana with her panic attack. Takumi notices that Reira has Shin's lighter, although Reira claims she received it from a fan. Blast has an unannounced live in Shinjuku, which Hachiko unknowingly stumbles upon.

As Blast's members excitedly prepare for the fireworks festival by cancelling their other appointments and finding disguises, Hachi heads to Jackson Hole where she encounters Shoji for the first time since their breakup. Meanwhile Takumi and Reira discuss Ren's desire to marry Nana.

Rumors are circulating about Sawako's friends, Ayane and Chizuru. It is said that Sawako started these rumors, but she is unaware that anything is going on at all. When approached about it, Sawako hesitates in her response.

The group is plagued by questions. Did Sawako start these rumors? Why would she do that? Who could really be responsible? No answers are in sight and Sawako shrinks back into her old ways-quiet and alone.

Tooru returns, and he wants to speak with Chizuru. He takes her on a long walk, past places they both remember from their youth, and he makes certain she is all right with his decision before leaving. Ryuu finds her at just the right time.

With the new year approaching, the group makes some plans to visit a local shrine together. New Year's Day also happens to be Sawako's birthday, so to celebrate, Chizuru and Ayane prepare a makeover session for Sawako in order to floor Kazehaya.

Sawako begins to piece together that she may be the one pushing Kazehaya away. Chizuru gets a makeover for Tooru's wedding. Kento makes a surprising confession.

Support comes in unexpected forms, as both Kento and Kurumi give advice to Sawako and Kazehaya. It spurs Sawako on to take action. As she runs to find her crush, all she can think about is finally letting her feelings out.

Even though a sliding door separates them, the words are heard loud and clear. There can be no more misunderstandings now.

It's the day of the float parade! Everyone dons a thematic costume and word gets out about what happened between Kazehaya and Sawako. The two begin their lives together anew.

Now officially a couple, Kazehaya and Sawako go on their first real date. Over summer vacation, Sawako asks Chizu and Ayane for relationship advice.

A considerate gift from the section chief leads to a double date at an amusement park.

During a school event, Sawako finds a mysterious note in her shoe locker. Apparently, Ryuu has something to admit to her. Kurumi and Kazehaya intervene with the worst possible timing for Sawako...

Both Sawako and Ayane are at a loss. How can they console their friend? Kazehaya says that doing nothing is the best thing, but is he right? How can Ryuu and Chizuru make up after such a bitter argument?
