Meanwhile, an irate German passenger causes a scene at Luton, and fog delays flights in Scotland, causing tempers to fray.

Captain James McBride arranges some unusual in-flight entertainment for Liverpool FC, and check-in girl Katrina plays a practical joke on her supervisor. Pee Pee the hamster is refused permission to fly to Greece with his owner, and a 79-year-old Scot also finds himself stuck at the airport.

Supervisor Jane Boulton is all of a flutter as Eighties pop icon Simon Le Bon flies into Luton, and a Spanish hunk makes her acquaintance. Meanwhile, a bride-to-be loses her passport, leaving her with only an hour to find it before her flight leaves, and Ferrari hunter Simon Empson heads for Geneva.

Love blossoms amid the unlikely surroundings of Luton airport as Jane sets out to find a new man, and Katrina calls on all her tact and sensitivity as she attempts to reunite a lovelorn Spanish couple.

Trainee Georgie Hobbs first flew a plane aged only 15, and now at 24 she hopes to become easyJet's 10th female pilot. Her training flight to Amsterdam proves impressive, despite the fact that amongst the passengers is a group bound for a stag weekend.

A smoker makes sparks fly at 37,000ft, angry at not being allowed to light up, but chief steward BJ is too busy rummaging among the rubbish in search of a missing dental brace to notice. Meanwhile, back on the ground, trainees Aaron and Jason vie for a date with glamorous instructor Tracey, and a couple miss their flight.

Katrina's hair gets her into trouble on the check-in desk, and a passenger en-route to Majorca causes a problem when she tries to take her tortoises through security.

Jane Boulton has a bad day as many passengers miss their flight after failing to hear an announcement that its departure has been brought forward. A defective plane causes delays at Liverpool and Katrina is asked to help smuggle a mysterious masked man through security at Luton.

Airport staff in Luton are unable to get into work because of blizzards. Vivian Ross explains that a series of cancelled flights has left him stuck in Zurich for two days and unable to get back to complete the sale of his house, and Liverpool supervisor Margaret Nile tries to play fairy godmother.

A couple plan to fly to Spain for the weekend from Liverpool, but are directed to the wrong part of the airport and miss the flight. The company representative tells them they can't set off until the next day, leaving them with less than 24 hours when they land in Alicante.

Gary Campbell is concerned a stag group will cause trouble at Liverpool Airport, but the men end up playing kiss-chase with the staff. Meanwhile, Leo Jones struggles to communicate with two Japanese passengers who have missed their flight, and a man worries he has been stood up by his Lithuanian date.

The show was broadcast between 1998 and 2006 on ITV, is often repeated on ITV2 and shown on syndication on Pick TV. The programme's success sparked a US version of the series, following American low-cost airline Southwest Airlines.
