Caillou is disappointed to learn his class trip to the fire station is canceled. Grandma plans to coach Caillou’s soccer team. Caillou isn’t too happy when Miss Martin is away and they have a substitute.

It’s Grandpa’s birthday. Caillou is very excited to look after Hamish, the class hamster, for the weekend. He’s soooo excited, he ignores his own pet. Caillou wants to surprise Daddy with a weed-free garden for his birthday.

Caillou is afraid of Mr. Hinkle, and when Mr. Hinkle waved to Caillou, Caillou panicked and ran. That made Mr. Hinkle really sad, so he goes over and apologizes. Caillou's Mom couldn't get Caillou to go downstairs, so they engage Caillou in a game of "Hide and Seek". In the end, Caillou is no longer afraid of Mr. Hinkle. As a matter of fact, Caillou decides that he likes Mr. Hinkle after all.

Caillou wants to play, but everybody's too busy to play with him. Caillou's Mom has to do the taxes, Caillou's Dad is repairing the washing machine, and Caillou's grandma is tucking Rosie in for her nap. Even Gilbert doesn't seem to want to play. Caillou then goes back into his room and plays with his plush toys.

Caillou and Clementine try to prove to her older brother Billy that they can play the drums; Caillou and his classmates at playschool put together a marching band; Caillou helps Clementine in a talent contest.

Caillou wants to learn how to roller skate, until he realizes how difficult it can be. Caillou wants to take a picture of a bunny rabbit in Grandma's garden. Caillou tries to whistle

Caillou and Rosie are playing together. Then Mom comes in and tells them to clean up their toys. But Caillou sees Rosie still playing and asks why she's not cleaning up. Mom tries to get Rosie to clean up and at first she does, but then she starts playing again. Mom explains that she's still too little, but Caillou won't have it and decides he's too little too. He asks for milk in a training cup like Rosie and his sandwich in little pieces and a bib. Then, Caillou and Rosie play baby together until Mom appears and stops them both for a nap! Caillou goes along at first, but then gets up. He tells Mom that he wants to be four again.

Caillou, Daddy and the twins Jason and Jeffrey pretend to visit the Antarctic; Caillou gets to know a new girl named Lee Wuhn; during a family trip, Caillou imagines hunting for alligators in a bayou

Caillou likes it when Miss Martin calls him a "Shadow Scientist". Daniel comes for a visit and thinks he knows how to put together a model plane without instructions. Caillou has fun jumping in the fall leaves with Daddy.

Caillou and his younger sister both want to learn to play the keyboard. Caillou realizes it helps to try and see things from someone else's perspective. Caillou learns that one can find fun in an unusual place.

Caillou explores the 'magic' of compost in Grandma's garden. Caillou learns to deal with change. Miss Martin asks the class to think up ways to save water.

Mrs. Howard has sprained her ankle, and Caillou wants to help her around the house. Caillou is determined to win a ribbon in the 'Charity Fun Run'. Caillou goes on a field trip to the museum.

It’s a rainy day and Daddy discovers some old puzzles. Mommy, Daddy, and Rosie are all busy, and Caillou is bored and frustrated. Caillou is having a bad day – he’s worried his bad luck won’t go away.

Caillou finds a tiny kitten while desperately searching for his beloved Rexy. Grandma has knit Caillou a wonderful sweater. He loves it and wears it every day. Caillou is feeling frustrated while trying to build a model truck.

Caillou's friend Clementine comes over to play. Clementine wants to play Family but Caillou gets upset because he wants to play dinosaurs & Clementine is playing with his teddy bear & stuffed bunny without his permission. After Caillou gets upset his mom calms everyone down & has both Caillou & Clementine apologize to one another. Clementine's brother Billy then comes over to play baseball with everyone.
