Ponch takes a bad fall while trying to avoid a semi and is hospitalized; a supercycle event has come to town, and the officers attempt to figure out who the culprit is. Devising a scheme for an interview with one of the cyclists, the CHiPs catch the culprit, an affiliate of the star of the supercycle show, by using a special-issue bike that can keep up with the cyclist.
