After being humiliated Rick returns to Degrassi with a handgun in his backpack and prepares to do the unthinkable and get revenge upon the students of Degrassi for laughing and humiliating him in the TV game show. Also one person will not survive this school shooting.

The school reacts differently when Campbell commits suicide in the school garden. Everyone worries about Maya, who seems to be the only person unaffected by what happened. Dallas blames himself for Campbell's death and lashes out at Alli. Eli has trouble coming to terms with seeing Campbell's dead body.

Rick has made friends with both Emma and Toby and when he's forced to work with Jimmy he may make another new friend but when Spinner, Jay and Alex rain on his parade he takes extreme measures. Meanwhile Joey has to sell his home and gets help from an old flame.

When Degrassi expands the school by merging with a neighbouring high school, accepting Grade 9-12 students, the school faces budget problems. Degrassi alumni Joey Jeremiah and his small daughter Angela are spied on by a new student at Degrassi. J.T. and Paige's date goes well until he discovers the real reason she agreed to it.

Paige has meet Degrassi's rival star player Dean and she's intrigued and he even invites her to a party, but when they go upstairs to talk things go terribly, terribly wrong. Also JT and Toby are having problems sharing a locker.

After finding out that Marco is gay, Spinner starts picking on him and decides to cut Marco out of his life. Meanwhile Snake decides to shave off all of his hair because of his newly discovered illness, which would have made it fall out anyway.

Marco finally accepts that Dylan is gone and starts to socialize. Spinner seems to be doing himself in before his illness has a chance to.

After Craig's dad storms off, he gets in a serious car accident and dies. Craig feels a huge relief with his dad's death and the end of the school year. Everyone thinks he should care a little more about his father's death. Paige, Spinner, Hazel, and Jimmy are competing for Luau King and Queen. Craig enters him and Ashley into the competition.

Ellie wants to stop pretending and have Marco tell everyone he is gay. But things are getting even hotter when Marco has his eye on Paige's older brother but Spin is determined to land him a date with Hazel. Meanwhile Snake gets a cold but after he passes out, Emma thinks it may be more than that.

Darcy realizes that she and Peter did not have sex, and discovers a secret which may haunt her for a long time. Ellie fixes Marco up with another guy, since Dylan seems to be neglecting their relationship.

Spinner manages to impress his Lakehurst crush, Jane, but when he gets into a fight, he receives a scary diagnosis. Darcy starts to act out in class, just after she gets out of counseling.

Darcy is having trouble dealing with the aftermath of being raped and goes crazy. She tries to seek attention from Mr. Simpson. She later accuses Mr. Simpson of sexual harrassment. Meanwhile, Jimmy and Ashley have relationship problems as Jimmy starts to hang out with, Trina, a girl from physio.

Campbell is reluctant to go back to school and grows insecure about his romance with Maya when Zig becomes a threat. Meanwhile, Dallas makes it his mission to win a date with Alli. Also, after Clare moves into Eli's locker, Eli reads Clare's diary and becomes jealous when he sees intimate details about Jake.

Paige Terri and Ashley reunite in Degrassi's hottest band. Ashley is noticing a diffrent Paige like something is wrong with paige and tries to see what's going on. When the song they sing talks about rape Paige gets mad. Will Ashley find out what is really going on with Paige? JT wants revenge against Liberty a girl who makes fun of him in Class.

Paige has been seeing a guidance counselor for six months and has finally stopped blaming herself for the rape. But she soon learns that Dean is returning with Bardell for a basketball game. Paige decides not to show up to cheer for the game. JT comes outside and asks her what is wrong and she tells him what happened. JT goes back inside and pushes Dean around trying to beat him up. Dean is suspended from the game and JT is sent to the principal's office. Soon Paige tells Spinner what happened and he follows Dean outside and pushes him against the school bus but Dean walk to the bus. Paige tells him straight out that she is coming after him: for real.

Final year exams are coming up and Craig is having trouble with science. The year-end dance doesn't seem to have much affect on him, since he knows he wants to ask Ashley (she does say yes). But there's one problem: his dad wants to tutor him, and hang out more often. Craig agrees to visit him at home for tutoring, and have dinner with him. But things at Joey's start to get harder, and Craig's dad wants him to move back home. Craig's dad convinces Craig that he has taken counciling and he can control his anger now. But then Craig's dad hits him again.

J.T. is now selling drugs and wants to quit, but the drug dealer won't let him, so J.T. is forced to steal again and soon J.T. loses the people he cares most about because of his drugs and lies. Meanwhile Snake isn't satisfied with how his life has been played out so far.

Emma's downward spiral into the world of eating disorders could have dire consequences on her. Meanwhile Alex and Hazel try to play nice for Paige.

But instead of listening, Terri defends him. Their discussion provokes Rick, who listens in, gets angry and takes off in a huff. Terri is forced to choose between her loyalties to Paige and her feelings for Rick, and decides to follow Rick into the woods. Feeling angry and betrayed, Rick knocks Terri down. She hits her head on a rock and is knocked unconscious. When Paige and the gang show up to find out what happened, Rick runs away. Later, with Terri in the hospital facing brain surgery, Paige and Spinner admit to Terri's father they knew Rick was abusive but that they thought the situation was under control. In the aftermath of the school shooting everybody is talking as they need to get some closure over what happened, but Sean who thinks he has everything under control may not be as well adjusted as he though and may have to take a trip back home to confront his past. Meanwhile JT and Danny have shun Toby out for making friends with the school shooter plus Toby is planning on going to Rick's funeral.
