As the dust settles for the village residents following their New Year celebrations, Harry accepts Jamie's offer to be his date to a work event. At the function, things go well when the client, Vince, takes a keen eye to Harry.

Diane is not happy when Tony says he wants Harry to move back in with them, so she gives him an ultimatum. Meanwhile, Peri and Leela are at each other's throats, and Yasmine skips school to go drinking with Lily.

Misbah realises that she has been too harsh on Yasmine and plans a family cricket match like old times, but disaster strikes on the drive home from the game as Misbah crashes her car and spins out of control.
