    At the police academy, Kazama Kimichika keeps a close eye on the trainees. Toba, seemingly gifted with exceptionally good hearing. However, his journal exposes some of his lies and almost sends him packing. What's worse, Inabe seeks vengeance on him but Kazama Kimichika intercepts in time. Domoto and the outcast, Oshino, strike up a friendship by working out together. Kazama Kimichika suspects there's more than meets the eye. The new instructor, Tazawa Aiko, is different from the others. She's friendly and gentle with the trainees. Kazama Kimichika decides to see how well she can teach.

Kazama Kimichika observes that Shiho appears to be suffering from emotional trauma and forces her to face her fear. As the 200th Short Term Course closes to an end, Kazama Kimichika forces his students to face themselves and their past mistakes, instead of avoiding them. He is determined to make sure his students know what it means to be good police officers that can protect the citizens.
