Meanwhile, J.W. and Andell are invited over to dinner, by Dee, to celebrate their anniversary of their first date; much to Frank's chagrin.

This Time You've Gone Too Far

While playing a friendly game of Truth or Dare, Kim and Niecy dare an innocent Moesha to get a tattoo. She reluctantly agrees to the dare only if Kim and Niecy go with her. After learning that Kim really didn't get her nose pierced and Niecy didn't get anything at all, a new branded Moesha must now face her father. Trying to stay cool and calm, Frank goes along with Dee's plans of letting Moesha grow up, but he accidentally tells Moesha his opinion of her. Meanwhile, Hakeem takes a second job at The Den, but he unknowingly mixes Andell's imported colon cleanser mix into the smoothies and serves them to customers.

Body Language

Morgan throws a co-ed slumber party and Moesha invites Kim, Hakeem and Niecy. At the party, they find out that the boys sleepover, too. Also, Niecy finds the courage to talk to Marco and Mary Ellen tries desperately to get into the party. After seeing Jeremy dancing with various females, Moesha finally decides to talk to him. Meanwhile, Frank and Dee have a romantic evening at home, but they're interrupted by the news that there are boys at the slumber party. After seeing Moesha walking downstairs and holding hands with Jeremy, Frank scolds Moesha; resulting in Moesha moving out.

Pajama Jam

After leaving home, Moesha turns to Andell for the night. Although she promises Andell she'll go back home the next day, she surprises Andell by staying at The Den the following day. Upset that Moesha lied to her, Andell forces Moesha to talk to Frank, but nothings changed between them. Back at Andell's Moesha becomes a bother to Andell and her new beau, Uncle Bernie.

A House is Not a Home

Five months later, and Moesha still hasn't returned home. After Kim forgets to purchase tickets to a sold-out concert featuring R&B singer Brandy, Moesha decides to spend her weekend alone with her new beau, Aaron, a college student whom she met over the summer. But when Moesha starts to push the relationship further (mainly due to her strange suggestions), the two break up. Later, Moesha, Kim, Niecy and Hakeem attempt to get into the concert. Backstage, Moesha meets Brandy who gives her some advice.

Moesha Meets Brandy

Without Moesha around, Myles begins to miss his sister. Moesha helps her friends with their Homecoming preparations. Grandma Mitchell visits the family and stirs up a heated conversation over Moesha and Frank's disagreements. Myles tries to make an attempt to keep the family together (reminiscent to the 1997 movie Soul Food). After all the hostility dies down, Frank tells Moesha that he wants her to return home.

Homecoming

When Frank and Dee find a marijuana cigarette in the house, all suspicion leads to Moesha. After wrongfully accusing Moesha, they are all shocked to learn that the joint belonged to Myles.

Hello, What's This?

Dee convinces the family to join Myles in a family therapy session, but Moesha decides to ditch the session to hang out with her friends. Frank reschedules the session so that everyone can attend and everyone begins to open up and express their feelings towards one another.

A new teacher starts work at Crenshaw High, and Moesha makes a bold move and kisses him. Worrying about the consequences involved between teacher-student relationships, Channing decides to leave Crenshaw High for good.

While there, they tour the entire campus and meet new friends (Iris and Mervin) as well as Moesha's ex-boyfriend Aaron. Old sparks flame again for Moesha and Aaron, but she becomes more interested in Mervin. Later, Mervin slips Moesha a drug in her drink, but Aaron comes to her rescue. Meanwhile, Myles has a slumber party.

A Terrible Thing Happened on My Tour of College

Now that they're a couple again, Moesha tries to discover what true love is all about. Niecy reveals that she's the first out of the group to have sex; prompting a curious Moesha with various questions about love and sex. Moesha and Kim visit the health clinic where Moesha prescribes for birth control pills. Later, Dee finds the pills in Moesha's purse; leading to a serious conversation about sex. Dee promises Moesha that she won't tell Frank about the pills. Moesha meets Aaron but her anticipation for a romantic evening turn into a nightmare when she learns that he has had many sexual partners. Upset, Moesha walks out of his life for good.

Birth Control

Moesha and Hakeem are bummed to learn that Eddie have them working on Christmas Eve. She tries to find a good excuse so that she can finish her last-minute shopping. An elder man visits the store to apply for a job, but Eddie tells him that they haven't hired anyone new in awhile. Later, the unemployed man is now dressed as Santa Claus and holds the entire store hostage.

A Class Act Christmas

Andell holds a tutoring program at The Den, and Moesha decides to write an article about the tutoring sessions in hopes of winning a newspaper's journalism contest. One of Myles' friends named Justin reveals a story that he has trouble reading (only so he can be around Moesha). So, Moesha decides to write a story on Justin's illiteracy but she forgets one important thing-- she didn't check the facts after Justin lied about not being able to read. Meanwhile, Frank goes on a diet after he becomes slightly overweight.

During Black History Month, Moesha and students divide along racial lines after a protest over the lack of black representation in Antonio's mural of Mexican-American migrant workers. Meanwhile, Myles tries to win a new bike in a contest.

Moesha and Kim have a fight over Kim's unprepared college plans. Later, MTV's ""FANatic"" picks Moesha to escort Kim to meet country singer LeAnn Rimes. LeAnn Rimes gives Kim and Moesha some good advice on how to remain good friends. Meanwhile, Hakeem accidentally sees Dee naked.

Ohmigod, Fanatic

Moesha and her friends participate in The Ladies of Eminence Debutante Ball, but Moesha has second thoughts because she's not interested in ""high-class society."" But she changes her mind when she learns that her former classmate Mary Ellen Hobbs is banned from the affair after getting pregnant.

Moesha's singing dilemma is illustrated in a 1950s-style sitcom episode, a la ""I Love Lucy,"" about an audition for a Broadway revue.

Moesha throws a slumber party with her girls, Kim and Niecy, to reflect on the good times they've spent together before they leave for college.

Girls' Night In

Kim's mother, Nikki, is re-starting a journey she began 18 years ago. With Dee's help, she will be completing her high school diploma. To her chagrin, the only requirement is to finish a history class, taught by the same teacher who flunked her years ago. Mr. Fullmore is probably the most boring teacher at Crenshaw High. He calls on Nikki to answer a question when he sees that she's asleep in class. She answers the question correctly. But when she stands up for Hakeem after Mr. Fullmore insults him, he makes her take a pop quiz for the class in which every student will receive the grade she scores. She gets an ""A."" Nikki surprises Kim when she tells her that she will be going to Santa Monica College with her. Kim feels like her mother is intruding on her world. After registration, Nikki and Kim attend a party. Kim is embarrassed, even though all the kids think she's lucky to have a cool mother. Nikki confesses to Kim that the only reason she has courage to follow through with her dream

Only hours before her senior prom, Moesha gets a call from her date's mother explaining that her son had an injury and will not be able to accompany Mo to the prom. But because she has waited so long for this event, Moesha decides to go alone. Although Kim, Niecy and Hakeem have dates, their prom experiences are far from perfect. Kim's date, Andre, spends more time worrying about his hair than Kim. Hakeem's date uses him as a cover so she can meet with her boyfriend. And Niecy's date, Antonio, chose a dress for her that's so tight that she can't move. After dancing with her father, Moesha meets a handsome mystery man wh asks her to dance. When his beeper goes off at midnight, he thanks her for a wonderful night and dashes away, leaving only a button behind with his initials on it. Moesha turns 18 and the gang decides to throw her a surprise birthday party but Kim spoils it by telling her. But the real surprise for Moesha is when all her former boyfriends, Ohagi, Q, Jeremy and Aaron, all stop by to show how they all want her back. But Moesha doesn't want to start over with any of them- except for her former teacher, Channing. After realizing that a relationship between them wouldn't work, Moesha and Channing both decide to just remain friends.

Independence Day

Moesha, Hakeem and Niecy go across town for a graduation day brunch where Moesha's car breaks down an hour before the big event. After finding many solutions to finding a way to their graduation, Moesha, Hakeem and Niecy finally make it across the stage. But Moesha's post-graduation plans change when she gets a job offer with VIBE magazine.

I Studied Twelve Years For This?

Moesha has decided to forego college since she's been offered a writing position at ""VIBE Magazine,"" a hip-hop journal. While her parents don't support her decision, her friends envy all the stars she'll meet at the magazine. However, it turns out that the position is not as a staff writer, but as a gopher. She's only submitting stories to the editor Joe Scott. Joe calls in the receptionist, Kasey, because she made a mistake on an important message from singer Baby Face. Everyone assumes Kasey will be fired, but she's surprisingly promoted to Marketing Director. Andrea, a co-worker, tells Moesha that Kasey probably slept with Joe to get the promotion, implying that Moesha may be propositioned too, since she's trying to become a staff writer. When Joe asks Moesha to a Mary J. Blige album-listening party, she assumes he's going to proposition her. She confides in Andell, admitting that she's just a gopher who's looking for her big break. Good Vibrations?

Kasey, the former receptionist, has Moesha follow up on some incomplete messages she took. Niecy drops by Moesha's job because they've made plans to go to the movies. Moesha answers a phone call who happens to be Dr. Maya Angelou and decides to seize the moment to set up an interview with Dr. Maya Angelou as writer at the magazine. Moesha convinces Niecy to pretend to be her secretary. She then interviews Dr. Angelou in Joe's office. Dr. Angelou clues in on the fact that Moesha is hungry for recognition. Moesha confesses that she has decided to bypass college so she can work on her writing career. Dr. Angelou gives her a profound reason to reconsider college. Later, Joe praises Moesha on her writing, but apologizes that he will have to fire her for misrepresenting herself as staff writer. Moesha later tells her family that she has decided to go to college.

Fired Up

While trying to keep up with the social life of college as well as the academic life, Moesha and Niecy are invited to their first college party. After getting heavily drunk, Moesha's faced with having to call Frank to pick her up. But Dorian comes to the girls' rescue by secretly taking Frank's car. Meanwhile, Myles, influenced by Dorian to change his image, dyes his hair and wears baggy garment to impress his classmates during his first week of junior high.

The Party's Over (Here)

Moesha lands a job tutoring athletes. She gets assigned to a promising NBA candidate named Ray Meadows. Ray has to write an English paper. Ray asks Moesha to finish the paper for him because he's too busy with practice and studying plays. Moesha agrees to write it, since they're friends. Dorian sees Moesha's writing Ray's paper and teases her, claiming that he uses the same game with girls at his school. Moesha reconsiders writing the paper and tells Ray that she can not do his paper for him. Upset, Ray tells her that he's not interested in a friendship with her if he can't benefit from it.

Mis-Directed Study

Frank finds a case of birth control pills in the trash. He asks Dee why she's taking the pills when they're trying to have a baby. She tells him the pills are Moesha's. Frank is angry with Dee because she concealed the fact that Moesha started taking birth control pills. Dee tells Moesha that Frank knows about the pills. Moesha tries to apologize, but Frank's too angry to discuss the matter. Later, Andell comes by to find Frank alone. When he tells her about the pills, Andell relates his experience to one she had with her father. She questions whom Frank is trying to protect--Moesha or himself. Frank asks for Dee's forgiveness and apologizes to Moesha. Meanwhile, Moesha stands up for Dorian when he's wrongfully accused of stealing.

Not My Pumpkin

Moesha and Nicey are taking history from Professor Ward, but they don't appreciate his racial disparaging jokes.

Just Above My Head

Niecy tells the Mitchells that she heard a rumor that Andell is losing The Den. After stopping by The Den and learning that the result of the rumor was true, Moesha goes to Frank to see if they can do a fund-raiser to save The Den. A company called Biggs Mortuary plans to buy the property and replace The Den with a casket store. Moesha goes by to see Mrs. Biggs to appeal on behalf of The Den. During a farewell party, Moesha tells Andell that she has saved The Den. instead of being happy, Andell is angry. Moesha didn't realize that Andell really wanted to leave to do something different with her life. Andell is able to persuade Mrs. Biggs to buy The Den again. The next day, Moesha, Hakeem and Niecy help Andell move out her last few belongings before they say goodbye to one of the most important places of their lives.

A Den is a Terrible Thing to Waste

Moesha prepares for the homecoming dance but ""friends"" Moesha and Hakeem soon start to realize that the depth of their friendship may be reaching a new and unexpected level. Meanwhile, Myles disappoints Frank after selling the comic books that Frank handed down to him for his birthday.

Isn't She Lovely?

Moesha and Niecy's friendship is tested when Piper moves out and Moesha moves in. Moesha later becomes a bother to Niecy. Meanwhile, Dorian tries to get away with purchasing extra items on Frank's credit card and lying about it; leading to Frank to give Dorian a tough ultimatum.

Unappreciated Interest

With Dee sick in bed, Moesha finds herself in a fierce Thanksgiving cooking competition with Mrs. Campbell. Also, Dorian's mother visits, but Dorian believes that she likes adjusting to her new life without him.

Thanksgiving

Moesha dreams that Hakeem kisses her when he comes over for breakfast in the morning. Moesha's feelings for Hakeem are tested when she, Niecy and Hakeem decide to share a cabin on a ski trip sponsored by the university. An angst-ridden Moesha confides in Niecy about the dream. Niecy, who's suspected all along that the two are secretly in love, tells her that dreams reveal one's true feelings. That night, Moesha dreams that Hakeem joins her in bed. This time, Moesha is so disturbed about the dream that she tells Niecy that she wants to cancel going to the mountains. Niecy forces her to talk to Hakeem because they won't be able to afford the trip if she backs out. Hakeem takes Moesha's dream lightly. Later that evening, Hakeem dreams that he goes to Moesha's house and passionately kisses her.

Moesha stays the weekend with Niecy in her dorm but she doesn't like the idea of Niecy inviting a stranger over who seems to what more from Niecy than just a new friendship. Meanwhile, Mo explains the facts of life to Dorian after catching him getting amorous with a girl while the rest of the family is away at a wedding.

Frank gets a call from his odd-ball aunt Hattie, announcing that she is in town and would like to visit the family. While Hakeem drops by to announce that he's been accepted to California University, Moesha tells the family that she will be moving because a dorm on campus has become available. Aunt Hattie surprisingly stops by that evening. After not seeing the family for years, she mistakes Dorian for Myles. Moesha clears up the mistaken identity. Aunt Hattie then congratulates Frank on finally bringing his son home. Her faux pas sends shock waves through the room since Frank has kept a lid on his secret all of Dorian's life. Frank has no choice but to explain that he and Marguerite were having some problems. He had an affair that resulted in Dorian's birth. His sister, Sandy, agreed to adopt Dorian. As the tension continues to rise, Frank thinks that the only way that's possible to break some of the hostility is to let Dorian have his birthday party at a teen club. Sandy visits to find out why Frank told Dorian the secret and why he didn't wait as they both planned. Meanwhile, Moesha meets her new roommate, Theresa Logan, from Dillingham, Alaska.

Frank is the honoree at a 'Businessman of the Year' banquet, but the tribute loses its luster when he learns that Moesha and Dorian don't want to go. After receiving vital advice, Moesha comes to her senses and forgives her father.

Family Affair

Moesha plays matchmaker for Theresa who's been having trouble meeting guys. So Mo decides to hook up Theresa with Hakeem's friend, Noel, but Mo thinks that Noel is just playing with Theresa's head.
