Sonja Ek is living a happy and loveful life with her husband and her three children in a suburb outside of Stockholm. Everything changes one day as Sonja is forced to enter the criminal world in order to protect her children.

Episode 1

The family is staying at the hospital. Stein is pressed on information regarding the shooting of one of Broman's men. The police conducts a search at the family's house.

Episode 2

Sonja tries to figure out who the Major is. Stein searches for the missing cocaine. Niklas wants Sonja to take care of the Company while he's in jail. Broman demands money from Stein for the stolen cocaine. Linus gets a puppy from Anders.

Episode 3

Barry is at Stein's to get the money, but when Stein doesn't have enough he takes their paintings instead. Lukas watches over the children and Gustav gets a visit from Jill and they end up taking Ecstasy together.

Episode 4

Sonja continues the search for the Major. The police tell Niklas that Sonja is hanging out with Broman. Sonja's search leads her to Norway. Kattis persuades Sonja to go out and celebrate Hanna's birthday at Broman's restaurant.

Episode 5

Nina is missing. Has she ran away or has she been kidnapped? Sonja has told Lukas about what Stein has done and Lukas goes to see him. Broman suspects that Sonja knows who the Major is.

Episode 6

The police have started to watch Sonja 24 hours a day, they know she is hiding things. Sonja and Magdalena manage to fool the police. Kattis puts both Sonja and Stein against the wall. Linus begins to remember.

Episode 7

It's a funeral. Linus remembers more and more and wants to tell Sonja. Kattis gets a bad feeling about who is responsible for the bomb. Sonja begins to realise that Niklas has been lying to her and understands more and more how everything is connected.

Episode 8

Sonja and the children are back in Sweden with protected identities. The main witness against Sonja's brother Niklas is brutally murdered. Will she be forced to testify? Their father Anders receives a heavy message.

Word of Sonja's return spreads, with consequences for her new life. As the hunt for her continues, Inspector Emil Svensson issues an ultimatum.

Niklas is released, but pressured hard by Barry. Anders tries to find out who attacked his daughter. Sonja starts working for John again, but one day she stops by the marina.

Nina and Sonja's relationship deteriorates. Sonja finds out who is behind the attempts on her life. Niklas does drug deals and ends up in danger.

While Hanna is in labour, Niklas has disappeared without a trace. Sonja forgets Linus' birthday. Barry tries once again to get his hands on the club Rose.

Dark clouds are gathering. Hanna feels very bad mentally after giving birth. Sonja is frantically searching for Niklas.

Emil pressures Sonja about an unexpected find in the marina. Anders is released in an ankle bracelet. Nina gets unexpected help, and Lukas makes a crucial decision.

Sonja is released and reunited with her sons. An unwelcome guest turns up at the memorial service. Drug lord Pinto Rosales issues an ultimatum. Sonja goes on the offensive in the war against Östling.

Will the plan to free Simon Svart succeed? Sonja reunites with Nina and pays off the debt to Pinto Rosales, but the price is high. Östling fights back with force.

Episode 9

Barry and Sonja find themselves in an uneasy alliance against Östling, while Anders' health deteriorates. Lukas retaliates and Sonja embarks on a journey.

Episode 10

Sonja lives a new life with John, but worries about her children, who sometimes tend to make bad decisions. Barry does business with the Rosales but the money ends up in the wrong place.

Linus and Kasper begin to realise what they have done. Juana receives an unwelcome visit in the shop and Barry and Sonja are forced to go out to help her. Klara wants Lukas released from prison so he can protect the family.

Gustav finds out what has happened to Juana in the worst possible way and calls Sonja because he doesn't know what to do. Barry is exposed to Rosale's displeasure and realizes that there must be a leak among his men.

John's car is found and he is taken in for questioning. Nina asks Zac who he really is.  Simon confides in Kattis but doesn't get the reaction he was hoping for. John and Sonja receive an unwelcome offer from Elise Wang.

Sonja realises that she has unknowingly become involved in business with Rosales. Klara uses extreme methods to find out who is really behind the sabotage at the marina and Simon realises he has lost everything.

Lukas takes Sonja to a safe place. Zac is no longer welcome anywhere and comes up with an idea that could solve his problem. Speedy and Gustav are united in their grief over Juana. John, Klara and the children have a meeting with social services after an anonymous report of concern.

Much has gone wrong for Sonja, who once again asks Lukas for help. Gustav lands a new job and Linus pays dearly as he tries to take responsibility for what has happened. Emil receives an unexpected offer from Barry.

Sonja and Barry go together to meet Rosales, but the meeting doesn't go at all as they planned. Sonja deals with Östling once and for all.

Sonja wakes up in hospital after six months in a coma. Her family is divided and her body in great need of rehabilitation. While she realizes that her security is in danger, Emil initiates a collaboration with the US police.

Sonja stays hidden with Lukas and has figured out who shot her. When further threats emerge, Sonja and Lukas take Barry's help to try to resolve the situation, but their plan goes to the punch and they instead end up even more in trouble.

To be able to pay off her debt, Sonja and Barry visit the goose farm and start up the family business again. Kattis gets assaulted, Emil tries to pressure Gustav to spy on Sonja and Linus gets an unexpected job offer.

The Ek family is gathered at Klara's home to show the social that Linus can move home again, but an unwelcome visitor puts spikes in the wheel. Linus learns that Tanja is not who he thinks she is and Nina turns out to have angel guard.

Sonja and Barry arrive in Colombia where Sonja meets Rosale's widow. El Largo gets revenge on Barry and tests Sonja by having her smuggle cocaine out of the country. Zac and Nina realize that the truth about Zac is out and decide to flee the country.

Sonja comes home from Colombia and makes a deal with Emil about El Largo and the Major, but lies to her children about where she's been. Barry and Kattis get married, but the wedding is not as happy as everyone expected.

Barry sets out on a quest for revenge while Sonja goes ahead with their plan and arranges a meeting between El Largo and the Major at the Colombian Embassy. Emil is in the wrong place when the goods arrive in Sweden and Lukas comes to Linus' rescue.

The meeting at the embassy turns into a hostage drama. Barry offers a surprise and Sonja is faced with the biggest sacrifice of her life in the hope of being able to give her children a normal life.

Three years have passed since Sonja staged her own death and assumed the Major's identity. Sonja and Lukas run the business from Oslo, but when a meeting goes awry, they come up with a plan to get out of their criminal life for good.

Klara is kidnapped and Nina must quickly find money for the ransom. Linus tries to protect Tanja who has been threatened at the youth home. Sonja and Lukas realize who has tricked them and make a bold move to get the server back.

Lukas undergoes surgery and his condition is critical. Nina and Barry are looking for Klara when Barry suddenly gets busy with other things. Gustav helps Linus out of a police predicament and Sonja encounters some unexpected faces when she arranges a meeting with Vera.

Sonja, Barry and Gustav have run straight into a trap and are now trapped. Gustav puts his mother against the wall at the same time that Linus acts to redeem Tanja's debt. Disagreement prevails between Klara's kidnappers as a result of changed circumstances.

Sonja and Barry come up with a plan to get into Vera's big poker tournament. Nina visits Gustav in the hospital and Klara manages to escape from the kidnappers. Vera tries to get a collaboration with Gerafi and at the same time takes revenge on the Major.

Sonja and Lukas are getting ready to leave the country and are now missing only one thing, new identities. When Klara begins to realize who is really behind the kidnapping, a chain of ill-considered decisions and fateful events is started.

Sonja is on the run from a large police presence. Emil is on her tracks and Sonja has to resort to drastic measures to try to escape. Vera and Gerafi hatch plans to take over the Major's business once and for all.

Sonja is finally in custody, but is worried about her own safety and tries every way to get out.

Sonja is reunited with her family, but the atmosphere is strange and unanswered questions hang in the air. Tony gets hold of Dante and demands the money back from the robbery.

Linus is missing and the family fears for his safety. Gustav returns after the breakup with the leak, ready to return Sonja to police custody. The major's villa is under siege and Lukas is forced out of his hiding place.

Sonja is in the hands of Gerafi and his men. Vera is no longer wanted anywhere and is doing everything to get revenge on Sonja. She realizes that there is a weak link in the otherwise strong chain of the Eks family and she is not slow to take advantage of it.

Sonja goes out to Vera's farm to save Linus, but Vera doesn't keep her end of the deal. Unexpected help shows up and Sonja and Lukas come up with a desperate plan to keep the family safe. But is the price of freedom too high?

On the annual day of Sonja's death, her children are attacked and the hunt for the villains begins.

The moment of remembrance

Emil suspects that the attack on the siblings may be linked to his witness. Gustav, Nina and Linus try to find out who is responsible and eventually they get a lead. But what they don't know is that someone else is one step ahead.

Italy

As the threat to the siblings grows, a guest from the past shows up at Gustav's house. Nina is forced to work with Barry's dodgy business associates to keep the firm afloat. But something goes wrong.

The gold

The only way to try to eliminate the threat seems to be to appease the perpetrator. Emil manages to get the identity of the perpetrator, but in the process of making the arrest, something else catches his attention.

The heist

The children are taken to safety and help comes from unexpected quarters. When the perpetrators show their true colors, everything's turned upside down. It's no longer a case of an external threat, it seems to come from within.

Sonja lives a rather carefree life with her beloved family. The husband Frederick's marijuana business providing family finances a silver lining. But life is shattered and Sonja forced to play a dangerous game with both organized crime and police to protect their children. She can no longer be sure which ones are her friends and who she can trust.
