Joey decides to be considerate and watch his girlfriends baby Gracie. It decides to be more then the two men can handle, as the baby ends up staying all night; distrupting Michael's work, and waking up dear Judge Wilbur in the process.

Shelby is dating a guy whom Nicole says is a creep. But Shelby ignores her. So to prove it to her, Nicole goes on a double date with them and the guy's friend. And sure enough his true self comes out but Shelby finds it hard to accept.

Frustrated by how much time Nicole is spending with Zach -- and by the fact they seem to be invisible when the two are together -- Michael and Joey declare that she must date someone else for awhile.

Nicole's sweet sixteen party gets cancelled due to... appendicitis?

When Judge Wilbur's going to be honored, Joey, Michael, and Nicole think that it would nice for some her friends and family were there. Only problem is that they don't know any of her friends and family and if she has any. So they do a little snooping around and find some of her things that were hidden and in it is a picture of her and someone named Louis and they thought he was a friend so they invite him. Only thing he came under the assumption that they told her that he was and when they meet, Judge Wilbur's not happy to see him. They (Joey, Michael, and Nicole) learn that he's her ex-husband. It seems that years ago she thought her career was more important, so they went their separate ways. They arrange for her and Louis to be alone together, and they make peace.

Nicole fixes Michael up with a neighbor, which amuses him then confuses him as their pairing becomes more and more ""comfortable.""

Joey agrees to join his father's plumbing business if he fails to make a sale at his one-man art show.

Zach, a boy whom Nicole knew moves to New York and comes to see her. And Cory is not comfortable with her being with him.

When Nicole fails to make the basketball team, Joey confronts her coach who turns out to be a very competitive woman both on and off the court.

Michael's uncle shows up and he's not exactly pleased to see him. It seems he has a habit of making promises that he doesn't keep. And he's making some to Nicole.

Nicole is dating a slightly older guy. When the guys hear about this, they forbid her to see him. She sneaks out to see him. They follow her and discover her getting her heart broken.

Joey is stunned when he learns that his girlfriend Sarah, and her baby Gracie are both moving away to San Francisco.

In the series grand finale, Joey's girlfriend Sarah wants to get married.. with another guy. Joey stops the wedding and gets back together with Sarah, and is faced with a tough choice. Move to San Francisco, or stay with Nicole in New York.

In the pilot, two buddies who were once in love with the same woman reunite at the reading of the woman's will, where they learn that one of them -- but not which one -- fathered her 12-year-old daughter and that both are to share custody of the girl.

Michael insists the family move to his uptown apartment, which has no playmates for Nicole and no life as Joey knows it.
