    Everyone's planting seeds in the garden, but the birds are trying to eat everyone's seeds. Geoffrey reads a story called 'The Mouse And The Miller'. Bungle thinks singing will scare away the birds, but Zippy thinks making a windmill is a better idea. George makes a scarecrow of Zippy looking angry and it scares the birds away, but Geoffrey thinks if they give the birds some bird seeds in a pot it will stop the birds stealing their plant seeds.

Bungle and George are a little anxious about meeting a lion, but they soon discover that Lennie is a very friendly lion and they get along with their new friend very well. But Zippy gets jealous of Bungle, George and their new friends Lennie and Terry and thinks nobody wants to be friends with him anymore. Rod, Jane and Freddy sing "New Friends". Geoffrey goes to find Zippy to cheer him up and then Zippy joins the others where they all listen to Terry read a story called "Alby All Alone".

Geoffrey suggests playing a game of eye spy or doing a jigsaw puzzle, but they're fed up and want to do something else, so Geoffrey suggests a day out at the shops. Everyone gets ready to go out, but it starts raining, so they cant go. Geoffrey reads a story called 'Reggie The Pillar Box'. It's still raining so Geoffrey suggests that everyone can have a day in the shops inside. Zippy pretends to open up his own supermarket called Zippy's, Bungle pretends to have a charity shop called Bungles Charity Shop and George pretends to have a music shop selling tapes and records called Georges Mega Music Store. Geoffrey goes to each of their shops and buys things and then he pretends to open up a fast food shop. Zippy, George and Bungle want to buy some of his food, though Zippy wants lots of food as he's very hungry.

    Bungle is doing lots of running in the garden as he wants to get fit, but Zippy and George are eating biscuits. Bungle ends up overdoing his running and gets very tired. Then everyone has lunch but Bungle only has a few peas on his plate and thinks he needs to go on a diet. Geoffrey convinces him to eat more food and wants Zippy and George not to eat too many sugary foods. ippy and George feel sick as they've eaten too much and Bungle's hungry. Bungle then does some more exercise, but struggles weightlifting. Geoffrey does some exercises such as weightlifting and press ups but struggles doing them. Bungle and Geoffrey play ball which makes Zippy and George tired. Then they have to join in their exercises.

They dress in different disguises and try to solve the case of the missing pen, starting by looking in the bedroom. Zippy and George want to borrow Geoffrey's magnifying glass to find the clues to solve the mystery of the missing pen. Zippy thinks Geoffrey took the pen so they look downstairs for it and they find it under the storybook. Geoffrey reads a story called 'Mr Snoozer's Parrot' Geoffrey's going to write his letters, but can't find his writing pad so it looks like another case for Detective Zippy, until Bungle finds it!
