Fall continues in the bush as the Last Alaskans settle into wilderness solitude. Battling loneliness, Bob Harte welcomes a visitor to his cabin. The Seldens bask in the glory of a major triumph, while Ray Lewis is just beginning the hunt for meat.

Alone

With summer fading and trapping season around the corner, Heimo Korth works to build a new cabin for his family. The Seldens settle in and look to fill their larder with moose meat, while the Lewis family attempts to reach an old homestead by boat.

Home Again

The race begins to secure food and shelter before the snow flies. Heimo's family hunts for caribou, but a bear could stop them in their tracks. Tyler and Ashley work to pull in a winter's supply of salmon. Bob and Nancy face a hard truth about his future.

As the Arctic Circle's short summer nears its end, The Last Alaskans begin their preparations for another winter on the trapline.

Winter's Dawn

Winter loosens its grip on the frozen north and The Last Alaskans celebrate the sun’s reappearance on the horizon. In the Season 3 finale, big changes are on the horizon.

The Great Unknown

The sun returns, signaling late winter in ANWR. An unwelcome intruder threatens Tyler and Ashley's success. Heimo and Edna say a final goodbye to their oldest cabin, while Charlie meticulously builds his very first and reflects on his future in the bush.

The Seldens embark on a 4-day trapping loop that could lead them through dangerous conditions. Heimo must compete with a pack of wolves to secure a moose for winter. The Lewis cabin is rehabbed, but the girls still have a lot to learn about this new home.

Tyler and Ashley are threatened by an intruder; Heimo and Edna say farewell to their old cabin; Charlie builds his first habitat.

As winter tightens its grip, the days grow shorter for The Last Alaskans and that means less daylight for checking traps. Heimo and Edna's fur count is way down and when wolves invade their traplines, Edna takes matters into her own hands.

Race Against the Sun

With no meat for winter, Heimo's desperate to run his trapline, but has no choice but to hunt for moose. Krin makes a devastating discovery - a wolf pack hunting on her trapline. Tyler and Ashley work together to make the most of a recent moose kill.

Never Gets Easier

Heimo tests his trapping skills on both land and water to outsmart one of his favorite catches, beaver. Scott puts lessons learned to the test as he tracks marten. Tyler's plan to run his sled dog team is threatened when the pack turns on each other.

Scrambling to finish trapping season, Heimo discovers the best catch so far: a wolf. Charlie walks a legend's footsteps as he works the traplines Bob left to him. Tyler takes on the challenge of getting their hunting cabin ready for next season.

With winter just weeks away, The Last Alaskans are desperate to fill their smokehouses. The Selden’s all pitch in to haul home Tyler’s recent moose kill. Heimo and Charlie both worry they might not have meat for the winter months ahead.

The loss of Bob Harte is felt across the Refuge. Heimo boats to Bob's cabin to bring Bob's possessions to his family. Charlie recovers his father's shotgun from a hidden cache and hunts small game. Edna prepares her favorite meal, caribou head.

No Regrets

With temperatures plummeting, Heimo pushes into the arctic, desperate to get a moose for winter. Charlie and Tyler look to start their trapping seasons but must overcome devastating fire damage on their traplines.

Hard Choices

Bob visits his daughter, and assesses the damage of his crashed plane; Tyler and Ashley travel 15 miles to a lake cabin to run their dog team and look for food.

Preparations for winter continue, and focus centers on finding food. Heimo pursues caribou meat, while Tyler & Ashley score big game, building their confidence in the bush. Bob & his daughter reminisce on the past as they arrive at their cabin home.

Dark Winter

As The Last Alaskans settle in to their fall routines in preparation for winter's trapping season, several visitors make their way out to the cabins. Heimo and Edna roll out the red carpet for their youngest daughter Krinn and new grandson, Colby.

A Taste of Freedom

Heimo stalks his best hunting grounds and Tyler tracks caribou as the pressure is on to get a big kill before the harsh Alaskan winter takes hold. Charlie inspects his traplines but damage from summer wildfires puts his season in jeopardy.

Hit the Ground Running

A hunt for a bull moose, which can feed a family for the winter, is critical before temperatures drop to 50 degrees below zero and can make being outdoors even more dangerous.

Winter Is Coming

Winter in the Arctic Refuge usually means go time for The Last Alaskans but this year low snowfall is slowing them down - snow machines and dogsleds are useless in these trail conditions.

Pray for Snow

Heimo begins trapping, but must find a way across a newly frozen river; Bob deals with the fallout of his plane crash; Ray and his daughters try to increase their food supply.

A Hungry World

Sunlight returns to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in the Season 1 finale, but Heimo is still stunned by a blast of extreme cold. Meanwhile, the Seldens move into a new cabin; and Bob mulls his future after his worst season in 40 years.

As moose season opens, the hunt is on to get meat for the winter.

The Hunter Is Hunted

As winter closes in, Tyler is on a desperate hunt to get a moose that can feed his family. With the river freezing over, Heimo and Scott race to get his boat off the water. Bob's daughter and ex-wife return to his cabin to honor his memory.

Winter's Wrath

It's Fall In the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and that means animals are on the move. Heimo pursues the tail end of the caribou migration, a bear ransacks Bob's cabin, destroying 2 years of dry meat, and the Lewis family arrives to sign of moose.

No Man's Land

Winter is coming, so Heimo pursues a moose that will feed Edna and him for months. Meanwhile, Bob packs up his hunting gear, but runs into trouble when his boat's engine malfunctions; and Tyler and Ashley find their cabin flooded by a rising river, and later, after a week of salmon fishing, their catch is raided by a bear.

The Hunted

The first day of darkness arrives, but Heimo's in jeopardy of being caught miles from home. Meanwhile, the Lewis daughters get ready to leave the refuge to live on their own in town.

Into the Darkness

Tracking a caribou herd, Heimo's daughter Krin and her husband Scott are out to prove they can make it in the refuge. Tyler and Ashley look to make a major improvement running water in their cabin.

Two Kills

As the seasons turn, the Last Alaskans are gearing up for trapping season. Heimo's newest cabin may have already fallen victim to a marauding bear. Tyler and Ashley are in full swing building a new home for their growing family.

Bear Intruder

Charlie scrambles to secure his first big kill and rebuild his traplines. Heimo's daughter Krin and family arrive in the refuge but are tested immediately when their cabin is uninhabitable. Bob struggles with his health.

The Price of Freedom

In 1980, the U.S. government banned new human occupation in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska, a protected area, home to thousands of native animals and pristine terrain spanning roughly the size of South Carolina. Currently, only a handful of families spread across seven permitted cabins are allowed to remain in the refuge. Within less than 100 years, all remaining permits will reach expiration, and there will be no human presence left.
