Lucy sets out to track down her boss, Mr. Mooney, who is enjoying a secret vacation at a dude ranch. Lucy's mission is to obtain Mr. Mooney's signature on some important documents. Lucy finds herself assisting an inventor friend in obtaining funding for his projects. To achieve this, she comes up with a plan involving Mr. Mooney, her boss. Mr. Mooney agrees to provide financial support if Lucy and her friend can help him deal with his troublesome 13-year-old nephew.
