Deciding to have a quick drink at a ramen shop, Wakako discovers a nice-looking place on her way home from work. She goes in. Her eyes are drawn to the braised pork on top of the ramen brought to her by the person next to her, and she eats it with a Tsingtao beer. With the base ready, she moves on to chive dumplings and Shaoxing wine.

This time, the office is in a heated discussion about what flavor the ramen should be. Wakako, who can't get ramen out of her head, goes to another ramen shop. It's a place connected to Tokiwa-so, and there are many autographs of manga artists on the wall. You have to pick up your own bottled beer. Wakako orders a 100 yen bamboo shoot. Then, who comes along...?

After picking up souvenirs for Mii-san and the others at a Japanese sweets shop, Wakako heads to a retro bar. A highball is appropriate for dusk. Feeling the summer, Wakako is drawn to corn tempura.

Of course, the last place Wakako heads to is that restaurant. The chef  and Aoyagi look happy to see Wakako in her yukata. They toast with edamame and bottled beer. What seasonal dish does the chef recommend?

The fireworks start and they watch them from the office window. Even though it's non-alcoholic, Ito-kun staggers around, which is comforting. Feeling refreshed, they can work hard.

The next day, Mii-san, who has already left because she is pregnant, is a little depressed after hearing the story from Wakako and the others. She seems to feel left out. Wakako, worried, suggests a beer garden when the manager (Morishita Yoshiyuki) suggests going for a drink.

She goes straight into a restaurant and orders chanja and barley shochu with water. The spiciness of the chanja makes the water seem a little weak, so Wakako also orders some barley shochu on the rocks. She sips the rocks and the chanja, and uses the water as a chaser for the alcohol and kimchi. The more she tastes it, the deeper it gets. She enjoys her chanja addiction to the fullest.

The next day, Abe-chan, having heard Wakako's story, tells her a recommended restaurant for pot-pickled kalbi. Wakako goes right there and orders the pot-pickled kalbi and draft beer. She enjoys eating yakiniku by herself.

She goes to work as usual, finishes her work without a hitch, and it's a peaceful day with nothing happening around her. On a day like this, she wants to have a drink with something ordinary, not something rare or expensive. Wakako (Takeda Rina) goes into a local restaurant bustling with regulars. She chooses simmered mackerel from the side dishes lined up in the display case and eats it with a bottle of beer. The hostess pours her special miso on it, so she can enjoy two different flavors. The next day. Wakako takes over from Mii-san (Yamada Kinuo), who is about to go on maternity leave. When she hears Mii-san talk about arranging for a traditional midwife, she wonders what her traditional way of life is. And where does she head to...?

She learns from the manager that the garlic is from Aomori and has a mild smell, so she orders garlic baked in foil and a lemon highball. Rabbit, wild boar, duck... While she is looking at the menu and wondering what to get, a man who appears to be a regular customer (Otsuki Shuji) comes in and orders grilled Ezo deer. Wakako also follows suit and orders Ezo deer, and when she asks the waiter (Takayama Takehisa) what hot sake to pair with it, he recommends a sake called Gibier. It's busy season. Wakako (Takeda Rina), who has been working day and night without time to go out for drinks, makes a reservation and goes out to enjoy fugu sashimi, since it's a day off and after payday. After ordering fugu skin ponzu and fugu sashimi, Wakako asks the waiter what sake to pair it with, and he recommends "Hakurakusei" from Miyagi, which is said to be the ultimate sake to drink with food. Celebrating the Departure

Wakako (Takeda Rina) is heading home straight after a meeting outside the office and happens to come across a good-looking Chinese restaurant. She orders fried shrimp dumplings and a bottle of beer. She also adds mapo vermicelli. The next day, back at the office, Ito (Hasegawa Shinya) is handing out rice crackers that he received from his parents' home. As they start talking about family, Wakako remembers an email she received from her mother. On her way home, she comes across a restaurant called Shumai Mania and, feeling nostalgic for the shumai her mother used to make for her, decides to go in. When she asks what shumai is available this month...

Wakako (Takeda Rina) sees a poster for Hyogo Terroir Travel in front of a store where she went shopping and decides to stop by on her way back to her parents' house. After taking a tour to see the auction at Akashiura Fisheries Cooperative, she goes to Uonotana Shopping Street, where the fish that have been auctioned are lined up. There, she spots a shop curtain hanging next to a liquor store and, thinking it must be a bar, she goes in. Wakako orders Akashi local beer and octopus tempura. She adds some local sake to her sashimi platter and enjoys the fresh seafood. She decides to stop by Himeji the next day...

Cheers to a journey through the Hyogo terroir!

Wakako (Takeda Rina) is wiping the sweat off her brow as she walks home from shopping on her day off. She stops in her tracks at a shop curtain with the words "eel and game" written on it. She happens to catch the eye of the store manager, who has just come out to see off some customers, and is led inside the store. Wakako is in the mood to eat eel, and the manager recommends the eel tempura with seaweed on top, which she orders along with a draft beer. It's a rare dish of eel tempura wrapped in nori seaweed. Wakako finishes it in no time and then moves on to the all-you-can-eat obanzai (traditional side dish). She also adds some sweet potato shochu water. The next day, Wakako brags about it at work...

A treat for hot days

Hasegawa (Sakoi Takayuki) and others are having a good time around Chief Okada's (Shiotsuka Kohei) desk. Wakako (Takeda Rina) is called and when she goes there she says she found a great corner bar. Wakako arrives right away on her next day off and heads for the shopping district, but is lost in the middle of a housing complex. When she asks a woman standing in front of a shuttered bar, she finds out that the bar is on the other side. When she walks around, she sees people drinking in front of the bar and it looks lively. When she enters from the liquor store side, she sees a row of sake...

The appeal of Kakuuchi

Abe-chan (Watanabe Mizuki) is exhausted from the heat at the office. Wakako (Takeda Rina) decides she needs to get some stamina, so she starts by walking for 60 minutes, but within 30 minutes she spots a sign for a Mexican restaurant and decides to go in. She orders a Mexican beer and chicken tacos, but when she sees the man next to her eating a burrito bowl while sweating profusely, she worries that the tacos might be too spicy. She is confused by the wide variety of options, including breast and thigh meat, with or without tartar sauce, but what will she choose? Sitting next to Wakako is a male customer (Hide (Penalty)) who catches her eye... On another day, when Wakako goes to her favorite restaurant, "Oraku," she finds Aoyagi (Kamakari Kenta), who was supposed to have quit.

When Wakako (Takeda Rina) asks the depressed Chief Okada (Shiotsuka Kohei) why, he says that his daughter called him old-fashioned for a certain reason. From there, the conversation turns to "Showaism"... Obsessed with the Showa era, Wakako finds a retro izakaya on her way home from work and stops in. She enjoys simple dishes like pickled vegetables and ham cutlets with draft beer, but is captivated by something a nearby customer is eating with relish. There she discovers an authentic Chinese food court next door, and decides to go in. ▼She is unsure what to do as there are a variety of Chinese restaurants lined up, including those from Shanghai, Sichuan, and Taiwan, but she starts by ordering some cold Sichuan skewers and a Chinese beer, and continues to enjoy new flavors. ▼On another day, she visits a local Chinese restaurant and enjoys a delicious dish along with a bottle of Japanese beer - what is this sure-fire dish?!

Authentic Chinese and local Chinese

After trying the souvenir sweets from Fukui that Ito (Hasegawa Shinya) brought back, Wakako (Takeda Rina) heads to Kagurazaka, where there is a shop selling Fukui specialties. ▼She finds a shop that has been converted from an old house and is about to enter, but is attracted by a sign for "soy sauce katsudon" on the second floor and decides to eat there first. ▼After that, she returns to the standing bar on the first floor and enjoys the rich flavors of Fukui's "heshiko" and "sake kasu cheese" along with some Japanese sake. ▼Having liked the flavors of the Hokuriku region, Wakako visits a restaurant serving Toyama cuisine on another day. On a Friday night after finishing a part of her work, Wakako (Takeda Rina) made a reservation at an eel restaurant, which she had been looking forward to, as a reward to herself. ▼ Along with cold Hokkaido sake, she ate "Shirayaki eel" and other dishes. It was surprisingly plump and soft, so tender that it almost broke when she picked it up with chopsticks...! ▼ On another day, Wakako stopped by her favorite restaurant, "Oraku." She was greeted by newcomer Yamamoto (Kadouma Wataru) and when she went inside, she found that Tetsuya (Tsujimoto Tatsunori), the son of the head chef (Nozoe Yoshihiro), had come from Takayama in Gifu to help out, worried about his father who was running the restaurant alone. ▼ As she ate "shrimp and avocado salad" and "Chikuzen stew," Wakako was immersed in the happy world of connections made by drinking outside.
