Liam and Caroline are doing extra shifts at work to save up for a holiday. Rather than the usual cramped caravan in rainy North Wales, this year they want to go to Santorini.

Liam catches Chloe snogging the lad from next door and reacts badly, throwing a milkshake at them. A humiliated Chloe is furious with her dad, but the more Liam tries to patch things up, the worse things get.

After a pregnancy scare Liam and Caroline agree he should get a vasectomy, but he is too scared to go through with it, and several weeks later he is still hiding his failure from his wife. Jim discovers Mikey has shoplifted a toy gun and Chloe thinks she has found true love

Liam finds out that Chloe's got a fake ID and plans to go to a flash party. He sets off with Tommy to find her, only to discover she's been one step ahead of him all along. Meanwhile, Caroline is fed up with Jim's bad behaviour whenever he visits the hotel where he works. When an opportunity for revenge presents itself, she starts to concoct a plan.

When her father buys a guitar with money she believes should be spent on her school ski trip, Chloe is not pleased. Caroline is horrified after Mikey walks in on his parents making love.

Tommy is sleeping on the couch so that he can avoid an ex-girlfriend. Liam is fed up with it and attempts to get rid of him by inviting the woman round. Jim attempts to force a reluctant Mikey to take up football.

Liam and Caroline find a burglar in their home and lock him in their kitchen. He ends up being revealed as an old school friend, who now plans to press charges against them for their use of undue force. Chloe's new best friend attempts to mess with Liam and Caroline's heads.

The Flynns hold an anniversary party for Caroline's parents, Pat and Alan. Liam's patience and party skills are tested to the max, especially when the tactless Pat upsets Chloe by revealing some truths about her conception. It is down to Liam and Caroline to smooth things over and tell Chloe the whole story of how they got together all those years ago. Kevin, meanwhile, has an awkward reunion with a girl he last met at a funeral.

Comedy. Liam tries to earn some extra money by giving some personal training lessons, but matters quickly go awry when his first client wants more from him than just training. Kevin's heart is broken when the love of his life breaks up with him after just two days together. And Caroline has a problem when her ex-pat parents discover online chat.

Liam tires of his humdrum life and resolves to keep up with his younger brother Kevin by partying every night. But can he really have it all? Jim attends an art class but his first painting - a portrait of his parents - turns out to be terrible.

When Liam falls and injures himself while snooping in a neighbour's house, he lies to Caroline about where he got his injury but his deceit soon gets him in trouble. Jim is haunted by a dark secret, and Kevin starts giving extra maths tutorials to Chloe's classmates..

The Flynns' boiler explodes, and to make things worse they're short of cash. To save money, everyone must make a sacrifice - but will Liam really give up his cable sports package with the biggest football match of the year coming up? Meanwhile, Chloe enlists a geeky school pal to fix the boiler, but he refuses to fit the last part unless Chloe goes on a date with him. Caroline gets into trouble when she vouches for Jim at the hotel, getting him a job as the doorman, and he is over-familiar with the female clients
